What is kindness, kindness, kindness?
Is it an act of simple niceness?
A cut to someone's distress?
Or a game strategic like chess? The answer's complicated and complicated,
Never outdated, but simply and largely debated.
In fact, kindness is all of these things,
Yet also, none of these quite sing!Kindness is simple,
But not there just to show the other person that you are nice.
Kindness is not just a cut,
But the whole destruction to someone's distress at no price!Kindness is not a game greatly strategic,
It is one endless motive to bring a smile.
So kindness is something everyone gives and needs,
And it is what makes life worthwhile.--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was asked to present a poem on kindness, and of course, I thought of researching the topic for ideas and inspiration before I set to work, however, I remembered a wonderful book I had read called "Wonder" that highlighted the importance of kindness, and that made me question the simple definition of kindness one should find when googled.
Therefore, I decided to come up with a definition - in the format of a poem - of kindness and what I believe should be the correct way to describe it.
Regardless, would you agree to this poem or have a definition of your own?
