Pain And Joy In Life

If only Life had a mouth to speak
The truth that could change all lives.
Maybe poetry can share the feelings we seek
By showing us through Reality's eyes...
Pain and joy in life are
More common than we had thought.
Though one thing we don't realise
Is how they take turns, like our legs when we walk.
So may Reality lend us its sight,
To discern the bigger picture.
Because everything will be alright,
For in life, joy too has a fixture.

Sometimes it feels like:
Everything is falling apart,
Just when things started to get better.
Sometimes it feels like:
You don't know where to start,
Untangling yourself from the web of a spider.

Sometimes life's like:
Citrus juice stinging your eyes,
Of the lemons it always ends up giving.
Sometimes life's like:
It longs for you to despise,
The very life you're living.

Sometimes people are like:
Pick-mes and real toxic, on the inside,
Putting up an obvious "I'm so nice" act.
Sometimes people are like:
Selfish and more ego than pride,
Trying to drag you down with lies compact.

Sometimes you, yourself are like:
Battling between your heart and your mind,
Although they're practically the same thing.
Sometimes you, yourself are like:
Convinced it's only all your fault, unkind,
Are your own thoughts that now badly sting.

However, it eventually feels like:
Things were actually growing stronger,
Because great things were on their way.
However, it eventually feels like:
That, that pain well known seeps no longer,
And you've finally learnt how to break away!

However, life's eventually like:
A minor series of highs and lows,
That teaches you that you'll always survive.
However, life's eventually like:
Happy and better than the future you chose,
And it wants you to grow and strive!

However, people are actually like:
Fighting the same battles, trying their best,
To fit into standards that in fact don't exist.
However, people are actually like:
Trash at communication and unable to express,
That they all want acceptance; not to fit.

However, you eventually realise:
That both your instincts and knowledge,
Just want to protect you!
However, you eventually realise:
That life only gets easier as you age,
If you don't give up and be true!

So whatever pain you may have now,
Or whatever joy you've finally gained,
Will leave and come from time to time;
The trick is: hopeful - you must remain!

Here's a special poem I think everyone needs to believe in!

Don't worry, great times are on their way, and they'll arrive to your doorstep before you know it!

If you would like, drop a nice comment addressed to the world! Afterall, we're all in this together.
