"Your loved ones protect you, care for you but let you fight your battles yourself when need be.... But they will always be there when you need them." Aiyla

Muna paced around the length of the living room, nervous, its been hours and all the boys' phones were switched off. They haven't heard from them, her brother is furious and HIM.... Jamaal Saeed didn't want to look at her, he hated her. She should have known that it was gonna end up like this.

The other girls were also pacing around the room, looking at the doors but of course no one came through. The adults were clueless and when they were asked, the girls said the boys went out for a much needed boys' day out

"Muna, chill, you'll be fine," Farha said snapping her out of her thought "and so will the boys."

"Nurayn hates me."

"No he doesn't, he's just angry but he knows you aren't at fault." Farha soothed. "You know Nurayn has a big heart. Hell! they all do and all they want is for us to be safe, for you to be safe Muna so calm down."

She knew her brother will forgive her one day but her eyes involuntarily went to where Ruha was seated. As usual, she was dead silent, lost in her thoughts and world. She wondered whether her brother will ever care about her or give them a chance. She admitted to herself a few days ago that she caught feelings for Jamaal and now more than ever, she wanted something, even the littlest thing, with HIM.

As though Ruha sensed her, she looked up calculatedly, her eyes were telling a story of HER, the unknown girl seated before them, the facade. Ruha smiled. Though it wasn't genuine, they knew that was the best she could give them.... Except when she was with Na'im, that's when her eyes light up with HOPE. She nodded at her and smiled mouthing "He cares, trust me. Don't worry too much." Ruha isn't much of a talker, they knew. Sometimes, she goes the whole day without talking. Her reasurrance meant a lot.

"Thank you" she mouthed back. She knew Ruha was right, after all she knew Jamal better than anyone else.

The door swung open and all the girls stood up immediately looking at the boys who were conversing loudly and sipping drinks. The girls exchanged looks in wonder.

Finally, they all sat down and spoke about everything, how it went down, its safe to say Musa is no longer a threat.

They all separated and Muna followed HIM as he walked away to the balcony.

"I'm sorry." she whispered not looking at him "I really am."

Jamal was looking at her, she could feel it yet she couldn't look up and see how he viewed her now.

"You don't need to be." He said. His eyes looked so cold.

She sighed "No, I realised you had feelings for me but I didn't stop knowing fully well that I'm in a relationship. Perhaps, it was because I began to have the same feelings for you and I enjoyed every bit of the attention."

"No you didn't, I was just in a fool's world, having wishful thoughts." He sighed. "Don't worry about me, Munira, I'll be fine."

He started to walk away and Muna felt her heart shatter into tiny pieces. "You are going to walk out of this before it even starts?" She said as he walked away.

He stopped and turned around, with this shade of despair in his eyes."I'm letting you go, I'm not going to let you jump into another relationship with me."

"What if I say I want this, you and I? We'll start on a clean slate, no exes, nothing, just you and I taking it slow?" She said back with hope in her eyes.

He turned looking at her, his dark eyes glistening under the moon.

"You sure?" Jamaal asked and she nodded "I am." Jamaal smiled, a faint, rare but genuine happy smile. Muna smiled back, just the same way. The moon that night shone brighter, as the new couple waved goodnight to each other.

And another happy ever after began.
