Macaque's Redemption

Chapter 5 - Saving a friend

(Narrator POV)

After a while MK and Mei stopped the tears and dinner soon came, and they all went to bed for the next day but at the summit, Macaque was just waking up to see LBD sitting in her throne. "Hmmmm." and she looked up, noticing he was waking up, "Oh, you're awake. I figured you would have been out for another day or so." she said, continuing to look in the mirror in front of her. 

Macaque growled out before he started struggling against the chains to hopefully break them but he had no luck considering that he was still weak from not only breaking her control over him but also stopping the samadhi fire. He looked over and saw the rings sitting on pedestals in somewhat of a circle with him in the middle of it, sweating nervously as he looked back towards the other demon, "plan on starting a fire in here?"

LBD chuckled at his attempt to get her to tell him what she was planning but decided to indulge considering that he wouldn't be able to do anything about it once the others had gotten there to save him. "Well, yes actually. I plan on using you as the host to the samadhi fire once you're under my control again and then attack the Monkey king and his pathetic group of followers once they get here. "What makes you think they're coming?" "Well, not only do I have the rings, but I also have you and that nice little show you put on at the summit, they know that you have been under my control this whole time." 

This had shocked Macaque, since he didn't think that they would care, especially Wukong but he guessed wrong and now they're coming straight into a trap made out for them. He started struggling again, but LBD already had her spell ready to make Macaque her puppet once again and since he was still weak, it didn't take long for it to take effect.

The group had just gotten to the mountain and hopped off the tea when the Mayor showed up to greet them, "Well, it seems you got her faster than expected." and the whole group got ready. "No reason for that, I'm just here to escort you to the main room where my lady is waiting for you." and he started walking inside but they didn't believe him and Sandy used his strength to knock out the Mayor. They ran to the middle of the lair and when the door burst open they only saw Macaque hanging up in chains in the middle of a circle with the samadhi fire rings surrounding it. 

Wukong made his way over to free the other monkey but a barrier was put up right as he got to the edge of the circle and the flames torches around the room lit up, revealing LBD standing at the top of the staircase on the other side of the room. "If you think I'm letting you take my puppet from me, then think again." she said laughing as Wukong glared at her and the rest of the group got ready to attack her.

The rings then started glowing as the chains around Macaque disappeared and he landed in the middle of the circle and Wukong tried to reach for him but froze looking into his eyes. They were blue instead of purple and gold like normal and the monkey king immediately knew that LBD was possessing Macaque but was too late in jumping away when the samadhi fire burst out. It surrounded Macaque, trapping him as LBD left him to not get caught by the fire, laughing as her plan was coming together but the group stood in horror that the samadhi fire had taken over Macaque. 

Then the ring inside Mei started glowing and MK noticed and panicked but it phased through her and started floating towards the other three rings above the shadow monkey. MK grabbed it to stop it from completing the samadhi fire but it only slowed the ring's pursuit and Wukong joined him in stopping the ring from continuing forward but LBD decided to attack the group at that point. Both the golden powered monkeys had to let go to avoid the attack and the fourth ring completed the circle and the samadhi fire expanded, becoming out of control and completely shallowing Macaque in the middle.
