(Wukong POV)

I watched in horror as the samadhi fire completely engulfed Macaque "NO!" I screamed out as I jumped forward to hopefully save him before I lost him again, but MK grabbed me and I looked at him. "No, the rings are all together and they look to be merging together, you won't be able to get to him without hurting yourself first." he said, and he had a good point because the rings were coming together but there was a sound that made my heart break.

Macaque's scream, and it sounded like he was in agony as LBD just kept laughing while getting ready to attack again. MK and I looked at eachother and decided that I would try to help Macaque as the group distracted LBD and her puppet - The NOT Mayor- and he ran over to them to explain what they were doing. I turned towards Macaque and took a step forward, using my powers to create a barrier around me to hopefully take some of the fire power off of me, to prevent myself from burning.

I reached the out edge of the circle and I could feel the heat from the fire and I called out to Macaque "Macaque! Please, try to fight it. I can't lose you again." and then slowly made my way through the barrier. The power coming off the samadhi fire was so strong that even I was struggling to keep going forward, to reach Macaque and as I was reaching for him when I got close enough the flames pushed me back. Landing on my back, I looked over at the circle and saw Macaque's outline and noticed that he was trying to do something as he was reaching up for the rings.

The rings then started to shake and pull themselves apart as the samadhi fire started to wane and slowly diminish and I could now see more of Macaque until the fire was disbursed entirely and I jumped up to catch the other before he fell forward on his face. "Thank celestial." I whispered to myself as Macaque looked up at me and noticed the burn marks on my arms, "You got burned."

(POV change- Macaque POV)( Back to when Wukong was walking towards the samadhi fire)

Holding my hands to my ears, I could feel the flames around me, burning me as they kept swarming and creeping closer to me and eventually it got to be too much to handle, screaming out. However, I felt someone getting closer to me as they stepped through the edge of the ring and looked up to see the outline of someone reaching out for me as they slowly got closer.

I wanted to call out to them to leave, as I didn't want them to get burned but noticed that the outline looked like me which meant that it had to be Wukong but before I could try and say anything he spoke first. "Macaque! Please, try to fight it. I can't lose you again."and this caused me to gain some confidence and try to figure out a way out of the samadhi fire. I used a small amount of power to push Wukong back so that I didn't hurt him and then reached up using my shadows to pull the rings apart and diminish the fire.

Soon enough the samadhi fire disbursed and the rings fell around me, and then fell forward, attempting to catch myself before I hit the ground but Wukong seemed to jump up and caught me. "Thank celestial." I heard him whisper but I looked up to see his shirt and fur singed on the edges and laughed to myself, "You got burned." and he looked at me before smirking to let me sit up by myself. "Well, glad to see you're still yourself after all this time." and shrugging before I answered him, "Well, I no longer have an unwanted being inside my body trying to make me kill you, even though I wanted to do that myself."

We continued to look at each other before laughing, and I had to hold my sides because it hurt, since I hadn't laughed like this since before the whole journey to the West that Wukong took with that group that I didn't like but he refused to listen to me. He got up and held his hand out for me, "Well, let's deal with this demon and go home." "What makes you think I'm coming home with you, you haven't even taken me on a date yet." "Let's just go."
