My day started with a wakeup call from mumma and her telling me to be ready for the Ganesh puja. Today is finally the wedding day. With the last week full of relentless working, from doing every rasam to making some best memories with my di and her final breakdown last night, the D - day has finally arrived.

We are all sitting here in the mandir as panditji chants the mantras. Doing Ganesh puja before any important event of your life is considered to be very auspicious and grants a sense of success.

My di is currently sitting there beside mum and dad whereas I am on the side with my cousins who are goofing around thinking all about suhagraat. The mood here is just so filled with dirty jokes and innuendos.

I am literally feeling very hot in the mandir with this scorching heat and sitting here with no ac is maddening in itself.

I have been down to give a helping hand from the early morning today, starting with the kitchen to sorting out minor details of decorating arrangements for the mandap and with providing things wherever needed, that's also making me hella tired.

After di's breakdown in front of me last night, I can't tell for sure if she is really happy, though from today morning she is smiling from ear to ear otherwise. It looks like there is a new glow on her face today, was yesterday's breakdown just wedding jitters for her?! I just wish that after today she will be happy in her life.

After the puja is over I distribute the prasad to everybody present there and the panditji blesses di to achieve whatever she wants in her life.

Returning back home my parents are currently having a heart to heart moment with di because they are very emotional right now. Their oldest daughter is getting married whom they have been taking care of since she was born.

I go and relax with some light music finally finding peace, looking out of the window and seeing the clear blue summer sky makes me feel revived.

We as humans are connected with the sky, you will see how much the weather change affects our mood. I have always been fond of sunshine. The sun rays have the power to revive an almost dead organism.
