The following day as Rayna and Terry were getting ready to leave, Terry ran a hand through her soft hair, kissing her gently on the lips.
"I love you, Terry," Rayna stood, wrapping her arms tight around his waist.
Terry cooed more sweet nothings to her as he took them to the dojo. Meeting the other potential Sensei's that were there the day prior, Rayna looked over to Terry.
"Rayna, I have to apologize again. Sensei Jo is not who he says he is. I don't ever want to bring such a stranger, an imposter like that in our home ever again, he could have harmed you for all I know," he wrapped an arm around her waist as they stood in his office. The other Sensei's waited patiently down on the main mat.
Rayna looked up to a concerned Terry, "Hey, you don't need to apologize. Whatever you have cooked up for today, it will be fine. I'm ok, you're ok, no one got hurt. Let's change and head down, yeah?" Terry nodded, grabbing her gi for her. As they changed, Rayna brought up once more Tori's concerns, asking Terry what his thoughts were.
He tied his belt around his waist, thinking over the information he had received the night prior, "I hope Ms. Nichols makes the right choice, you gave her sound advice. If it comes to it, I hope she doesn't seek John out, you know how he was with you."
Rayna stopped him, placing her hands against his abdomen, "I know, Terry, I-I know. He was awful, there was more he said and did when you weren't around that you don't know about, just being mean. It's in the past now. Let's leave it there. I'm glad Tori trusts me and confides in me, take it easy, I know fear and pain don't exist in the dojo, but, she's really shaken. I didn't tell her what I really thought about her telling me you paid off the ref..."
She trailed off, Terry placed his finger under her chin, raising her face up to his, "And? What do you really think? I told you I didn't deny it, it was an insurance policy. You saw Tori fight."
"In all honesty, sometimes in life you have to do what you have to do. I'm not thrilled that she saw you, she did win, I'm a little put off that LaRusso and Lawrence made you feel like you had to do this. In the end, Tori still won. If anything, I can make something up if she presses further that the ref is one of your driver's or something."
Terry grinned, "I don't think Ms. Nichols will push it. You shouldn't worry about this anymore. Let me know whatever else she says, I don't think it will be an issue. You ready to head out?"
"Yeah, yeah, definitely, let's go baby," Rayna grinned.
Terry and Rayna waited at the edge of the mat with the others, Tori came around the corner with her trophy, placing it with the others, "Tori, you made a decision?" Rayna asked, with a warm smile.
"Yeah, I'm here, I'm back," she looked around, "Am I early, where is everyone?"
"No class today, I'll see you for the next class, yeah?" Rayna asked.
"Definitely," Tori smiled, "Have a good day, Sensei Ray, Sensei Silver," she nodded, heading out.
Rayna grinned up at Terry who took notice, "You're so cheeky," he snorted.
Sensei Jo soon came in, asking if he was late or early since the dojo was empty.
"You're right on time. Fall in," Terry called, the other Sensei stepped out, standing on either side of him and Rayna.
"It seems you weren't exactly honest with me, were you, Chozen?" Terry snarled, Rayna glanced up at him, then back to the newly named, Chozen, Terry continued, "Have you ever heard of a man, Masataka Taketsuru? About a hundred years ago, he moved from Hiroshima to Scotland. He studied organic chemistry. Then he returned to Japan with the secret of great whiskey. He built up his own distillery just outside of Kyoto. His brand, Suntory, the whiskey we drank last night, considered the best in the world. I've had the pleasure of drinking it right where it's made. And every time I raise a glass with one of my old friends from Kyoto, we toast kanpai. So imagine my surprise... when my new friend from Kyoto raises a glass and says something they would only say in Okinawa."
