A ship arrives on Reis Island, with multiple students disembarking and waiting by the shore. Celistia takes a headcount before questioning, "Has everyone disembarked?"

"Yes!" responds the students as they each grab a wooden sword.

"Well then, let's start our training immediately!" commands Celistia. A few complaints follow her command. However, they quiet down as Celistia continues, "Today will be on the lighter side. We did come here to train to the best of our ability."

"Don't give up, Lux," Lisha says, "That woman's 'lighter side' is considerably hard.

"G-got it."

"Are you feeling okay?" Krulicfer asks (Y/N).

"Yeah. Don't worry. Some light training won't keep me from being at 100%. Although, this might be a scheme to get me tired."

Krulcifer giggles. "Well, I wouldn't put it past Celis-senpai. And her version of 'light' is much harder than you think."

"Oh. I think I'll be fine," (Y/N) responds as he remembers Fugil's version of light days.

Flashback

Lux and (Y/N) are seen doing multiple exercises on the field before getting up and running a few laps around the empire. The two boys drop onto the grass as they finish their final lap.

"I've never loved the ground so much," (Y/N) says while hugging the ground.

Lux nods his head, too tired to respond.

"What are you two doing?" Fugil asks. "Break time is over. You've finished your warm-up for the light day. Time for sparring."

"L-light day?!" Lux responds.

The two boys help themselves up. "So, who are we sparring with? Are we going against each other?"

Fugil laughs before turning serious. "No." He lifts a wooden sword before smirking. "You two will be going against me."

Minutes pass as the two boys are seen on the floor, beaten and bruised as Fugil stands on top of them. "Too easy."

(Y/N) shivers in response before Kruclifer calls back. "We're moving! You coming (Y/N)?"

(Y/N) nods before looking at Lux, who stares at a building on top of the hill. "Lux?"

Lux snaps out of his trance before following (Y/N) and the rest of the group to an empty space of grass on the island.

"Just like back home," (Y/N) states, tears falling from his eyes.

Lux gives a pity laugh while placing his hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder, feeling his pain.

Celistia plants her sword into the group before commanding, "First, one-hundred swings."

The group follows as (Y/N) swings his sword down harshly. "Huh. This is pretty light, I guess."

Celistia calls out more orders and pairs people up as (Y/N) faces Lux.

"How are you holding up?" (Y/N) asks.

"It's not too bad. I'm slightly out of shape still, but I should be fine."

"Nothing compared to 'his' workouts, right?" Lux furiously nods his head. "Well, we might as well have some fun. You ready?"

Lux nods his head as (Y/N) charges forward. He swings his sword downward as Lux blocks it, kicking him back to create space. (Y/N) lifts his sword almost in a fencing position and jabs forward as Lux attempts to dodge and parry a few. Lux knocks (Y/N)'s sword up before proceeding with a horizontal swipe with his sword as (Y/N) uses his hands to catch the blade and kicks Lux, sending him back. (Y/N) quickly turns the sword around and throws it at Lux, who narrowly dodges the thrown sword. (Y/N) catches his sword as Lux picks up his own—the two look at each other, one breathing much harder than the other.
