7. Consequences & bullies

Claudia hangs up the phone to her uncle Gunner, she and the others had just arrived five minutes ago and one of the guards had carried a passed out Grey into Sam's place.

Dr Sam has his own hospital room and everything he needs so the Blackwells don't have to make trips to the hospital.

The three cousins are sat on chairs outside the room, Gage sits in the corner, blood over his hands and still no shirt.

We hear a door slam open in the distance and footsteps.

"You stupid little shit."

Gage grimaces when he hears his father's angry voice.

Gunner strolls to where Gage is sitting with a hard glare across his face.

"I gave you that gun to use in case of emergencies, not to shoot your cousin's foot off!" Gunner shouts, clearly angry.

Gage looks down and Claudia frowns, feeling bad for the kid.

"I'm sorry Dad." 

Gunner sighs, a frown forming on his face before he sits next to his son.

"I'm sorry for yelling Gage, but you know how dangerous this was, what if it wasn't his foot? somewhere more fatal." Gunner takes a calmer approach to his guilt ridden son.

"I know...I just wanted to show him." Gage mutters, wringing his hands together while looking down at them.

Gunner sighs and pats him on the back but then pauses "Where the hell is your shirt?"

Before Gage can open his mouth, heavy footsteps are heard from down the hallway.

Gage gulps when his uncle walks through the doorway, face set into an angry frown.

A worried looking blonde women next to him.

Lainie stands up and walks over to the older woman who looks like she's about to start sobbing "He's okay mom, it was just his foot."

Lainie and her mom wonder off into the room where Dr Sam is doing surgery on his foot.

When Graham's eyes wonder to Gunner and the kid who has his head bowed he sighs, annoyed.

Gunner gives his brother a look, telling him to not be an asshole to his kid.

Graham rolls his eyes in reply.

Graham walks over to his nephew, Gage tenses when he nears.

Gage looks up, tears in his eyes "I'm sorry Graham, i-i didn't mean to I-"

"It's allright kid, shit happens." Graham grumbles softly, cutting off Gage.

Gage pauses shocked he's being nice about it.

Graham starts to walk over into the room but pauses when he gets next to Gunner, Gunner squirms uncomfortably when his big brother stops next to him.

Graham's hand shoots out and he roughly pushes Gunner's head into the wall behind him.

"Ow fuck!" Gunner yelps, grabbing his throbbing head.

Graham looks down at him innocently "I can't hurt him, but I can hurt you."

Gunner glares at Graham as he walks into the room, not before saying a quick "Hey Clau-bear." Claudia waves back at Graham before he shuts the door behind him.

Claudia looks to Gunner to see him still rubbing his head causing her to let out a snort, which makes Gage laugh out too.

Gunner pauses "I'm glad my fucking pain makes you happy."
