FIFTHTEEN

THREE WEEKS WENT BY IN A flash. After their 'official date', Mateo and Jasper found themselves growing closer with each passing day. Their relationship still wasn't official, but it was obvious that the question would come up in the near future. After all, everyone in the two already assumes they were dating.

Every lunch period you could find the duo in the library, near the far back with the encyclopedias and maps, sharing the giant brown bean bag that could be found at the end of the aisle. Some Days they would talk in whispers, other days they would study, but on a few occasions you could find the two of them napping peacefully.

That was the current scene Mrs. Newton, the school's librarian, found them in. It was almost a hilarious sight, tall males holding on to each other trying to fit comfortably on a 5" by 5" beanbag. The brunette's now un-booted leg stretched across the blond's lap while both of the blonds arms wrapped around the brunette's waist to keep him on the plush. It's unknown how the physics of this position worked but all she knew was they surely were balancing on that beanbag.

Sighing, the librarian pursed her lips in thought. The bell had rung signaling the end of their lunch period, meaning the two boys had to get to class or they'll be marked absent. However, looking at the two teenagers sleeping peacefully in each other's arms reminded her of her own youth. Yet then again, end of the year testing was coming up and she knew that being in class these days would help them prepare. But maybe they were so tired because of the stress from studying? Afterall she would often see the two helping each other prepare for weekly tests.

Luckily for Mrs. Newton, she didn't have to ponder the thought much longer. The blonde teen had let out a noise similar to a sigh before opening his eyes, nearly startling the woman. Giving her a smile, he checked his watch before whispering out, "I'll wake him up now. We'll be out in a bit, ma'am." His tone was polite, causing the woman to nod in response before turning to leave.

Turning his head, Jasper looked at the teen in his arms, an echo of a smile gracing his lips. Inhaling Mateo's calming scent one more time, he lightly nudged the sleeping teen. "Mateo, i know you heard the bell."

Groaning, Mateo pulled his arm from under him before lightly smacking Jasper's hand away, "Shhh, if you had continued to fake sleep she would've gone away." He hissed, opening his eyes to playful glare at Jasper. Despite his words, Mateo still sat up, raising his arms to stretch lightly.

"Maybe, but the woman had a cart full of books and I'm sure it was to rebook this aisle." Jasper reasoned.

Scoffing Mateo turned to look him dead in the eyes, "And why would she need to reshelf an already full aisle of encyclopedias? No one in this school uses those." After saying his piece the brunette leaned forward to gather his notebook, chemistry textbook and his miniature #2 pencil that was nearing its end due to how often he has to sharpen it.

Jasper knew Mateo was right so he didn't even bother to argue.

Instead he followed his lead and collected his belongings. As he was about to stand he paused upon seeing an open palm in front of his face, courtesy to Mateo who was offering to pull him up. Biting his lip softly, Jasper placed his hand in Mateo's before going slightly limp. It was amusing watching Mateo struggle to pull him up with one hand, the other clinging to his stuff.

After a solid half of a minute of trying, Mateo glared at the blond who was poorly containing his amusement. "Har har, very hilarious." Mteo said sarcastically, going to let go of the other boy's hand only for Jasper to hold on tighter, pulling himself up.

"My apologies but your attempts were so earnest, it was cute." The corner of his lips rose when he saw Mateo roll his eyes.

Since their next periods were in the same direction today, they made light conversation as they walked. Mateo was geeking about this new artist he had discovered, while Jasper just listened.

"I'm telling you, this Rihanna girl is gonna be big someday." Mateo swore, pausing to turn fully towards Jasper as they arrived in front of the blonds class. As if on autopilot, the two teens stepped closer and pulled each other in a hug. A hug that became a cheesy goodbye tradition three weeks ago when Jasper pulled the shorter male into a hug in the middle of the hall before they split ways for class.

And yet they claim not to be dating?

The hug was short and sweet, three seconds maximum before they pulled away from each other. Mateo turned to continue walking to his class only to be pulled back by Jasper. "Wait, I meant to ask you earlier but are you free Saturday?" A nod was the silent response Mateo gave him. Grinning Jasper let go of his hand before pulling back, "Great! I'll pick you up at 10am."

Mateo had no time to really process his words since Jasper had already opened the door and went into class before the words could be digested. But as soon as they were processed a small smile appeared on the tanned teens face.

Walking to class, Mateo decided then and there. On Saturday, Mateo's gonna ask Jasper to be his.

A/N: This one is a short, little filler chapter. Originally, I was gonna add the Saturday date to this chapter but I realized I have so much planned to write about that it deserved its own chapter. So I apologize for the short one this week but I promise next week's chapter is even longer.

Also, as for the timeline. I didn't do proper research but I'm pretty sure twilight begins mid-January while new moon starts in September. But between that I'm not sure if any official dates were posted so I'm just making it up as I go. In this story, Bella finds out about the Cullens and starts dating Edward around mid-march.So with the three week time skip, in the story it's currently around the middle of April.
