Azrael pov:

"I don't understand why we're here. I'm grateful but I don't understand?" Ryker told me, huffing and being annoyed that I dragged him with me.

"You two need proper training. I'm glad Artemis and Damien trained you but I've been kicking their asses for years so you need to train with me." I stared at the two boys sitting across from me on the train.

We caught the new bullet train from New York to Florida for a mission. We got Intel that some of his higher ups and clients would be on this train. It's our job to take them out and go to this specific hideout Midnight has. I brought Artemis for backup and the boys so they could get some experience.

We stayed hidden and tried not to draw attention to ourselves. I wore a navy blue three piece suit with a white button up and no tie and a few buttons undone. Artemis wore a black suit with an expensive black jacket in place of her blazer and matched a dark green button up with a black tie.

The boys were a little different. Ryker wore a fitted black long sleeve with dark jeans and a leather jacket. His brother wore an all white suit with white gloves to match. They were polar opposites but it suited them well in their own way.

"Don't be such an asshole Cheri, they are just boys. I remember when my Papa first taught me to kill. It was exhilarating." She spoke to me but quickly turned her attention to the boys in front of us.

"Was it fun?!"
"Gross."

"Pay attention. No fooling around. This ain't a game." I groaned out irritated. They all snapped their attention to me and I grunted.

"Stay here. We're going to look around. Don't leave the table." I told the boys and dragged Artemis with me. She looked confused but followed anyway.

"Where are we going?" She looked around as we passed different sections of the carts.

"Opposite ends. They boarded."

Moving to opposite ends of the massive train the two keep different outlooks on the situation, Azrael and Artemis being emotionl opposites. While Azrael is cold and focused, Artemis is giddy and uninterested. Heading towards the front Azrael keeps an eye out for the people that are supposed to have boarded by now.

Azrael moves down the carts slowly, her nerves on edge the longer she walked. Going into a different cart she finds it brightly lit with flashing lights and a mascot walking around. She takes a moment to wonder why her wife would give the train a mascot in the first place.

She stomps down the walkway and bumps into the thing. She tries to apologize but it bumps her back and easily works her nerve. They play a game of chicken on seeing who would go what way.

"Fuck off." She pushes it to the floor and steps over it, trying to get past the thing. Going into another cart she sees it's much less crowded and much calmer.

When walking down the walkway she catches a glimpse of a sketchy man sitting in a chair by himself staring hard at her. Turning around to confront the man she sees him pull a gun from his side already.

Ducking behind cover she barely avoids being shot by him. He moves closer to get to her, dropping his guard for a second. Taking the opportunity she strips her blazer off and uses it to wrangle the gun from his hand.

Kicking him back and jumping from her place she tackles him to the floor and straddles him. He does his best to block the attacks but her strikes are too strong and fast. Getting a good hit in she knocks the man out. Letting out a breath she gets up and reaches for her phone.
