Amilia pov:

Getting off late from work I make my way home, ready to see Az and the kids. Pulling into the driveway I lock the car and head for the front door, my feet killing me with each step.

My brows furrowed when seeing the inside of the house. It was a warzone. Az was twirling Thena around while both being covered in mud and dirt. Ryker had a megaphone shouting at them while Arthur helplessly begged them all to stop.

Seeing the door open made them all freeze and look at me with horrified faces. Slowly Azrael set Athena down and backed up slowly. They all started backing away slowly. When they were out of my sight I dropped my briefcase and let out a tired sigh.

"One night of normalcy, one night. Have kids she said, you'll be a great mom she said!" Moving in further I avoided the mud and dirt while noticing the trial going deeper into the house.

"I just need a glass of wine." I told myself, taking a deep breath and letting it out. Going to the kitchen and opening the pantry I found a fully dirt covered Jay.

"Here you go." He handed me a bottle of wine, leaving dirt on it as I took it from him. Shutting the door I grab a glass and pour myself a glass, taking my time to enjoy the taste.

Finishing the glass, I stand up and look around the house for someone in particular. Going upstairs I search all the rooms in the house. Coming out of Rykers room and finding nothing I hear a creak in the floorboards behind me.

"You're there aren't you." I didn't budge, I know it'll just make her run if I do.

"This house wants me dead, but I'm still faster than you." Snapping my head around I saw Azrael burst forward, already running for her life.

I chased after her, probably making more of a mess. She nearly went into the wall trying to get downstairs, her voice was filled with laughter. Skidding to the stairs I fling my shoes off and jump down them.

"YOU'RE CRAZY!" She caught me. I knew she would. The fall took us to the floor with a loud slam.

"WHY?!" I grabbed her by the front of her shirt, shaking her violently. She held my wrists and tried to stop me but It was useless.

"How was I supposed to say no?" She gave a bright smile that made it hard to stay mad at her.

"There's mud everywhere, and Jay's in the pantry. Why?" I gave up, sinking into her embrace. I just wanted to relax, my feet were killing me.

"He lost. That's why." Athena announced. She ran towards us and dogpiled in, getting me even more dirty.

"Are you two getting a divorce?" Ryker asked, throwing himself into the pile as well.

"Why would you even ask that? I love your mother." Azrael pulled on his ear, making him hiss in pain. She let go and stood with me In her arms… kinda.

"I love mommy too!" Athena shouted, trying to climb all over Azrael. I laughed as she threw me over her shoulder and fended them off.

"No! She's mine. You birds clean while I keep her to myself." They made bird noises and started cleaning up while she dragged me to the kitchen. She set me down on the counter.

"You're not making them clean it all up, are you?" I asked, giving her a proper kiss on the lips. She smiled and shook her head.

"No, I'll be helping. Just getting you settled... and grabbing Jay. Speaking of, Jay come out of the closet." She moved away from me a bit and shouted at the door to the pantry.
