Reges Portum ~ Kings Landing  [four years pass]

A letter had arrive in Dorne a few days ago, requesting Prince Doran's company for the Kings wedding yet he sent yourself and your father in his place.

--------------

You rode in on a horse, surrounded by Dornish soldiers. Your father had rode into Kings Landing at dawn to avoid the welcoming party, you on the other hand were never going to wake up that early. The Kings Landing party had come into you sight as you drew closer to the capital.

You sat hidden behind the other Lords of Dorne as you were greeted by the kings uncle.

'Well met, my lords. His Grace, King Joffrey welcomes you in his name. My lord father, the King's Hand sends his greetings as well. I am Tyrion Lannister of Casterly Rock, Master of Coin. Forgive me but I don't Prince Doran in your company.'

One of the Lords in front of you respond, 'The Prince's health forces him to remain at Sunspear. He sends his brother, Prince Oberyn and his niece, Princess y/n, to attend the royal wedding in his stead.'

'Yes, the King would be delighted to enjoy the company of a warrior as renowned as Prince Oberyn along with his surely very beautiful daughter, at his wedding feast,' the small man spoke warily towards the Dornish men. 'And where is Prince Oberyn?'

'He arrived before dawn, not a man for welcome parties, my father,' I call out as I jump off my horse and walk towards Tyrion. He continues to talk yet the men of Dorne walk directly past him towards the city. You join Tyrion and the two men in his company as you had grown bored of riding the same horse with the same people on the long journey to Kings Landing.

'My Princess,' the  three men greeted you with a bow. The knight asked Tyrion, 'What now?'

Tyrion turned to you, 'Excuse me princess for what I am about to say,' he turned towards the knight again, 'we must find Oberyn before he kills someone or several somebodies.' You laughed in response, 'that's probably fair in this city.' Tyrion wandered ahead with the knight so you walked beside his squire, Podrick Payne.

'Payne?' You questioned, 'Isn't Payne a noble house from the Westerlands? How did you end up here in Kings Landing?'

'Well, during the War of the Five Kings, I was the squire of Ser Lormir, a lesser knight in the army. One night Ser Lorimer got drunk and stole a ham, which he shared with me. After that, Lorimer was caught and the two of us were sentenced to be hanged, but I was spared because of my family name as we have been sworn to the Lannisters for years. As punishment, Tywin sent me to Kings Landing to serve as squire to his son Tyrion.'

You burst out laughing hysterically. 'All this, because of a ham,' you said trying to catch your breath while laughing uncontrollably. From here on you knew you had to be friends with Podrick, especially since he was the only person insight remotely close to your age.

'Well why are you here, doesn't Oberyn have like twenty children?' Podrick half mockinly asked.

'Oi, not as much as twenty but I am one of nine. Oberyn had children with four different women before my mother. She was the one noble woman he had been with and they got married and had me before she died soon after. Since I'm the only Sand Snake who doesn't bare the Sand name but Martell, Oberyn takes me everywhere with him because unfortunately it means I have duties to one day uphold. After my mother died, Oberyn met Ellaria and had four more children with her.'

The group of you had approached quickly towards the center of Kings Landing since Tyrion was on a mission to find your father. You walked past the room you were to be staying while in the capital when you heard a yell of pain from the room a few doors down. Tyrion, Podrick, Bronn, and yourself enter the room to find Obern stabbing a dagger into a mans hand on a table.
