Esmeray
I don't know where to go. I needed to go somewhere so I could lay low and not get caught. I should ditch this car now, it has been too long.
I drove behind a building and left the car there. I got my bag and got out. Walking down the street, I heard some noise coming from an alley.
I decided to go check it out like the most rational person I am. Note the sarcasm. I'm not.
I looked around the corner and saw a bunch of guys beating someone up. It reminded me of the time when me and Mom were attacked in the park.
If someone had helped then, we would not be here, and she would still be alive. I dropped my bag and decided to help that person.
I snuck up on them and killed them all before they even knew what was happening.
I held my hand out for the guy to help him up, and he took it.
"Hey, you ok?" I asked him.
"Been better. Thank you, you just saved my life. I tried to fight them off, but there were too many of them. By the way, how did you do that? It was so cool!" He said.
"You're welcome, and years of training," I said as I walked over to my bag.
"I am Liam, by the way." He said, sticking his hand out for me to shake.
"Hi, I am Esmeray." I shook his hand and started walking again.
"What are you doing out here at 2 a.m.? It's not safe." He kept walking with me.
"Well, No shit Sherlock! I don't have a place to stay."
Damm, something is wrong with me. Why am I even talking to him? And why did I tell him that?
"Since you saved my life, let me pay you back, by helping you."
"And how are you going to do that?"
"By letting you stay at my place for the night." I looked at him skeptically.
"Don't worry, I will stay far away from you, and by the way you took those men down, you can easily kill me. So you will be safe." He said, putting his hands up in surrender.
I thought about it for a second. I mean, if he tries anything, I will just kill him simply.
"Fine, but if you try anything, you are dead. Understood?" I say, pointing a finger at him.
"Yup. Loud and clear." He said, nodding.
We walked over to his apartment, which was 15 minutes away. His place had a nice and cozy vibe to it.
The interior was a mixture of black, grey and white. He had a grey couch in the living area with a small black round table in the middle.
The kitchen area was next to it since it was an open floor plan. It had black countertops with white marble patterns on them.
It is just like my style, and the thing that I love about his apartment is the big windows. They overlook the city. It is beautiful.
I walked around his place and looked for potential dangers and exists. You can never be too careful.
He showed me the bathroom and the guest room so I could freshen up.
I checked the room and bathroom for anything and then locked the door. I put my bag on the floor and went to take a much-needed shower.
I let the hot water wash off all the sweat or dirt that was on me and relax my body.
I had a long day, and I need to let my mind and body rest for what's to come tomorrow. I still need to figure out how to get out of the country without getting caught.
I hop out of the shower and make my way over to my bag. I grab a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie and put it on.

I let my hair air dry and strap two of my knives on me. I mean, I am in a person's apartment whom I met an hour and a half ago.
I walked out of the room and headed to the kitchen to look for a drink. I find a bottle of whiskey and take it over to the couch.
I don't bother getting a glass since I will most likely finish the whole bottle.
I sit down on the couch and take a big gulp of whiskey. It burns down my throat as I look out the window.
After a while, I noticed Liam sitting down next to me. He doesn't say anything as I offer him the whiskey, which he takes.
After a moment of sitting in comfortable silence, he finally broke it. "I didn't think you were a brown liquor kind of girl."
"Well, what can I say, I am not like other girls," I say as I take another sip of the whiskey.
"Are you in trouble?" He asked randomly.
I just looked at him, not knowing what to say.
"Cause if you are, then I can help. I may not look like I can but trust me, I can. I know people."
"And if I say I am, how will you help me?"
"For starters, I can help get you money and a place to stay. Maybe, if you want, I could even get you out of the country."
"How will you get me out of the country?" I was curious, to say the least, and desperate.
"My friend and I are going to Italy tomorrow night. You could tag along, that way you can get out of the country undetected."
Tomorrow. Italy. Where I used to live. Do they still live there? In the same house?
I mean, it would work. I would be out of Nevan's reach long before he finds me. It will also give me enough time to plan my revenge.
In Italy, it would be easier to go dark since no one knows me there.
"Can I tag along until you get to Italy?" I asked.
"Of course. It's the least I could do after you saved my life."
"Thanks. I'm going to go to bed now. Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
