My little sister was alive the whole time, and I didn't even know about it. I never even suspected that she could have been alive.
If I had just seen that it was a setup, maybe Mom could have still been alive, and my little sister would have been with us the whole time.
This is all my fault. I should have seen this before. I should have had the accident investigated more closely.
I should have known. I am her big brother. I was supposed to protect her from everything, but I failed. I failed her.
All these years, I thought that she was dead, but in reality, she was alive and was held captive. If I had just known. If I had just convinced Dad to look into it again, then maybe just maybe she would have been with us all these years.
Maybe then she wouldn't have had to suffer. Maybe, then she would have been happier. Just maybe.
And now not only did he kill my dad, but he also killed my mom. I am so going to make him pay for everything he did. He will regret even thinking about it.
"What the hell just happened?" Someone asked, snapping me out of my haunting thoughts.
"Huh?" I asked.
"What was that?" Lorenzo questioned.
"Umm... she asked how dad died, and I told her that he was killed by the guy named Kane. Then she spaced out and said who was behind killing Dad." I explained.
"Ok, but why were you two shouting at each other?" He added.
"I said that I was going to kill Nevan, but she said no and said that he was her kill."
Everyone went quiet for a second before it was broken by Roman.
"What has she gone through to be like this? And most importantly, why does she want to kill him herself?" He said, barely above a whisper.
"Only she knows. All we can do is wait for her to open up to us." I said, putting my hand on his shoulder.
After that, we all went our separate ways to do our things.
I walk into my office and sit down at my desk to get some work done. I am in front of me on the couch and see Theo still sleeping peacefully.
I forgot that he was up here sleeping. He looks adorable and, with his little snoring, even more.
This whole time, we had a little brother, who needed us, and we didn't even know about him.
He was terrified and all alone in this cruel world at such a young age. He should have been with his family, with us all these years.
Now that he is with his family, he is going to get everything he truly deserves. All the happiness and love he needs.
I am going to do everything I can to protect him from this horrible and cruel world the best I can.
