I told Maggie everything, but she didn't say anything. She just let out a long sigh and handed me a glass of water.

I asked, "Have the police arrived yet?" while holding the glass in my hand.

Maggie replied, "It should be, let me see."

I sensed that she looked very frightened as she said those words. I wanted to ask her what happened, but she said, "Oh yeah. I bought you a new headset, try it first. Since you can't see, maybe the sirens will sound really loud."

I felt the warmth in my heart and said, "You are very considerate."

Maggie remained silent. She approached me and put a headset on my ear.

My heart was filled with hope, "If the matter with Wilson is over, I want to go out with you. The last time you took me to a party, I just knew what it was like to drink to my heart's content. I enjoyed that happiness. It was really fun."

Maggie said, "There must be another chance." When the music started playing on the headset, I couldn't hear anything else but the sound coming out of the headset. I was sure things would get better once the police arrived. My eyelids grew heavier along with my thoughts. Without realizing it, I fell asleep again.

When I woke up and opened my eyes, I felt like a very long time had passed. Had the police arrived yet? I took off my headset, got out of bed, and put on my slippers.

"Maggie?" I called. "Are you still here?" I opened the door to the room with a habitual reaching out to feel, and I saw light in the dark world. It felt strange. It seemed like I could see again. I followed the light source of the lit living room lamp, and I saw a hazy, soft white light. I could only see a few indistinct shadows, but it was enough to make me happy.

There was the sound of water from the bathroom. Maybe Wilson had been taken by the police, and Maggie was in the bathroom. However, as I walked towards the bathroom, I felt something under my feet. When I looked down, I was greeted by a blurry blob of red color. It was a pool of blood flowing through my sandals. My legs were weak with shock, and I almost fell into the pool of blood.

When I looked back, I realized that there was something in front of the fridge. I took a few more steps and tried to see clearly. After trying my hardest, I disappointedly realized that it was just the shadow of a person. To be more precise, it was a corpse. The hair was rather long, it seemed to be a woman. I tried to get closer to her and saw that there was a dark color on the woman's hand. I realized that it was the protective bracelet I had given to Maggie as I felt it.

"Suddenly there was a male voice from the direction of the bathroom, it was Wilson's voice. He called out, "Eren?"

Slowly, I turned over and my head, my fear reaching its peak. I vaguely saw a man standing in front of the bathroom door. He wasn't dressed and looked like he had just finished showering. Although I couldn't see Wilson's expression clearly, I could feel the satisfaction from his words. I repeated my request weakly, "Don't come any closer."

However, Wilson said softly, "Eren, don't be afraid, it's me."

I felt trapped and scared, "It's you who scares me! Why did you kill Maggie? You also killed Laorencia, and behind you, there was someone..."

However, Nelson cut me off, "Brother-in-law, you mean me?" The man behind Wilson looked at me with a smile, raised his hand and waved it at me, "You've seen me before, my name is Nelson."

I tried to stay strong and not faint. "You... Why didn't you tell me your true condition?"

I dared to ask, "How can you marry me in your condition?! I'm even carrying the child of a monster. How disgusting." The mistake of words just came out, I realized that the word "monster" was too cruel.

I warned them, "The police will be here soon, you will definitely be punished." Wilson remained silent, just frozen in place. It was Nelson who spoke, "Don't be angry, brother-in-law. Sorry if it scared you, we just killed some scum."

He continued, "Sis, turn over first, let me tell him."

Wilson replied, "Shut your mouth."

After reprimanding his sister, he said again to me, "Eren, the police won't be coming, at least for now."

Little by little, she approached me, while I kept backing away out of fear.

"When you talked to Maggie, I was beside her. I was the one who asked her not to report the police."

I was shocked and angry, "Crazy person, what are you going to do?!" When I realized that I had retreated all the way to the front door, I immediately tried to open the door and escape. However, the door knob didn't move at all. "Don't waste your energy, sister-in-law. We've reinforced the door lock, you won't be able to escape." Nelson's voice sounded clear, but it only made me desperate.

Wilson angrily said to her, "Will you just shut up!" Then, he softened his voice and looked at me, "Don't be forced anymore, Eren. Don't hurt yourself. Come on, go inside and rest in the room."

My tears continued to flow, I shook my head desperately, "Don't come any closer." However, Wilson still held me gently, "Don't worry, I definitely won't hurt you. After killing this last one, everything will be over." I still shook my head.

I don't understand.

Nelson was still laughing, "My brother-in-law is mentally unstable, he's so scared." Wilson ignored him and carried me into the room. After I was placed on the bed, he smoothed my hair and kissed my forehead gently, "It's my fault, I didn't mean to lie to you."

In this state, Nelson, who was behind him, kept playing with the curtain with his hands and talking like a child, "Disgusted." I felt very weak and kept shaking. I didn't have the strength to resist anymore.

Not long after, the doorbell rang.
