[name] carefully opened the door to the house, she knew that her mom was still at work but out of habit did she clack the door slightly ajar before peeking a head inside to ensure there was really no one home. Right now, [name] didn't think she could handle hearing her mom's nagging, really [name] couldn't handle talking to anyone right now.
She felt kind of guilty at the moment, even though she never directly said that she would never see Vinny again, she did mouth the word. It wasn't like she didn't want to see him anymore, it was more like she wouldn't because she couldn't see him again. Her illness had gotten worse since coming to Korea, and it would've been better if she went back to America to see her regular doctor. Plus, she always felt like a bother staying at Vinny's house even if he didn't mind it and staying with her mom could get annoying.
"It's fine, we didn't know each other for a long time anyways..." thought [name]. Although she knew those words were a poor attempt to comfort herself, she tried to believe them.
