I know what your heart desire,
You’ve been waiting almost every night.
To sit by the woods on fire,
While watching the gleam of lights.

To fill you tummy with tasty food,
To open gifts under the Christmas tree.
To share love in your neighborhood,
To paint your young heart with glee.

A day celebrated with a cause,
A once in a life time moment.
Anticipating presents from Santa Claus,
Things that children won’t forget.

Yet despite the happiness this Winter,
I was bombarded by fear.
I hope to be remembered,
In my own name day, this time of the year.

Yes, my child. That was my only wish,
Out of million whispers in this world.
Nothing is better than an abundant feast,
Than your kind and thankful words.
