Vivian's POV

It had been a few days since I started at Kuoh Academy. In that short time, I'd managed to make some progress in forging connections, particularly with Sona and Tsubaki from the student council. It had become somewhat of a daily ritual for me to visit them during lunch breaks, learning more about the school and its students.

I found out that the girl with the crimson hair was Rias Gremory, one of the top beauties in the school. She is also the president of the ORC, occult research club, with few members in it. Particularly, another school beauty, a mascot and a prince or so they say.

Today, we sat in the student council room, with a chessboard set between Sona and me. She had mentioned her love for chess, and since I was rather skilled at it, I suggested we play a game. Tsubaki watched from the side, her interest piqued.

As we moved our pieces on the board, we chatted about various topics. Sona asked me how I was settling into the school, and I assured her that everything was fine. I didn't delve into the fact that I'd already taken it upon myself to address some issues at the school, particularly the pervert problem.

"Actually, speaking of that," I said, moving my knight to an advantageous position, "you might want to consider implementing some countermeasures. I've caught a couple of perverts trying to peek on the girls from the kendo club. It's rather unsettling."

Sona and Tsubaki exchanged glances, clearly taking my advice seriously.

Sona: "We'll do something about it. I can't really say if it will stop them though."

I smiled sweetly with my bangs shadowing my closed eyes.

Vivian: "It's fine. Incase anything happens, I will be there to deal with them~"

The way I spoke seemed quite contradicting to my face expression which I noticed, gave a slight chill down Sona and Tsubaki's spine. Them not wanting to know what I had in mind. We continued on with our game, moving pass the pervert issue to more simpler matters.

Moments later, the game came to a surprising end, with my victory. Sona and Tsubaki were both taken aback by the results.

Vivian: "I must say, that was a splendid game."

'I can't help but feel that this match wasn't as challenging as playing with Cherit, whose age and experiences were a mystery I was keen on unraveling. Just how old is that flying titan friend of mine.'

As the bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, I bid my farewells to the two and left the student council room. Sona and Tsubaki were left pondering the implications of the chess match's outcome.

Sona's POV

Sona and Tsubaki watched as Vivian confidently maneuvered her pieces across the chessboard. Her intellect shone through her strategic moves, and Sona couldn't help but be impressed. She'd been right to take Vivian up on her offer to play chess.

After the game, Sona and Tsubaki were in shock. Vivian had defeated her, the renowned chess master of Kuoh Academy. It was an unexpected outcome.

Tsubaki hesitated before speaking, "Sona, does this mean..."

Sona finished her sentence, "...I'm engaged."

She recalled the deal she had made with her family long ago, promising to marry the one who could best her in a game of chess, not counting friends and family. With Vivian's victory, it seemed Sona had inadvertently become engaged to her.

She found herself pondering this development. It wasn't entirely unwelcome. Vivian had proven herself to be a fascinating individual, and she knew Tsubaki held a similar fascination.

As the school bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, Sona and Tsubaki remained in the student council room, still processing the surprising turn of events.

Vivian's POV

School finally ended for the day, and I walked out of Kuoh Academy, heading home. It had been a rather eventful day, filled with chess games. I sighed as I thought about the game with Sona, resolving to practice harder.

Author note: Don't forget your unexpected engagement with Sona now ;)

As I strolled along, I noticed a girl wearing a different school uniform standing not too far from me. She seemed shy but approached me.

Her name was Yuuma, and she confessed to me that she'd been watching me for some time and had fallen in love with me

Her name was Yuuma, and she confessed to me that she'd been watching me for some time and had fallen in love with me. Her confession was rather sudden, but I had learned to expect the unexpected in this world.

However, something about Yuma made me skeptical. I sensed the same magic within her that I had sensed in others, like Rias and Sona. Magic that hinted at a world beyond the ordinary.

'You may try to hide behind a mask but your magical energy is still there. If there is one thing I know about in being a Seeker, is to never judge a book by it's cover.'

Yuma looked at me with hopeful eyes, awaiting my response. I decided to play along for now.

Vivian: "I appreciate your feelings, Yuma, but I can't accept your confession just yet. I don't know you well enough. However, I'd be happy to spend some time with you and get to know you better."

Yuma's disappointment was evident, but she quickly brightened up at the prospect of spending time together.

We agreed to meet on the weekend for a hangout. As Yuma prepared to leave, I couldn't resist having a bit of fun.

'Let's tease her abit.'

I leaned in, kissed the back of her hand, and bid her farewell in a knightly manner. Yuma blushed and left with a smile on her face.

As she disappeared from view, I couldn't help but think that things might get even more interesting from here.

'Let's see what your hiding pretty girl.'

With a chuckle, I continued on my way, heading home for dinner.

3rd POV

Unbeknownst to Vivian, her actions hadn't gone unnoticed. A white-haired figure, hidden from sight and eating a popsicle, muttered to herself.

Mysterious Figure: "Buchou will not be happy about this."

With that, the girl disappeared from view, leaving Vivian to head home for dinner, with the orange-haired girl's thoughts filled with the mysteries of this new world.
