Imene p.o.v.

You know the saying " you must of woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Well I feel like I didn't even sleep in a bed.

After eating that huge deer and meeting joy true mate I crashed out in my room. I didn't even make it to my bed I just slept right on my floor.

I get up and stretch as I start my day. The mating ceremony is today which means this might be the last time I wake up in my own room, the last time I spend with my friends and family, the last time I feel free.

After my shower, I got dressed in a all black matching set of a adidas training gear. After breakfast I plan on going to the training grounds to train with the friends I met during training over the years.

"Well Good morning to you too." My dad said as he flipped through his newspaper at the kitchen table.

"Oh I didn't see you there dad. You know food is my wake up call." I said with a laugh as I sat down in front of a plate of pan jacked that were prepared by one of the omegas.

"Nervous for today ?" My dad asked looking up at me while I eat.

"I have no interest of having or being a mate to anyone. What's the good of being a silver if I still have to be dependent on someone else?"

"The mating bond is not bout dependence it's sacred between the werewolf community and denying yourself a lifelong relationship would only hurt yourself. Besides this evening you'll have every wolf trying to get you."

"Yea because of my rank not because they value my wants or actually give a damn about me ."

"You might meet your true destined mate.."

"Or I might challenge any wolf who think they can claim me." I cut him off in mid sentence.

"It's law. You can not challenge your true destined mate. The elders won't allow it and yes I'll miss you but I won't allow it either."

My brother Brandon decided to grace us with his presence by joining the conversation with a whole new subject.

"Hey silver wolf." Brandon said with a hint of sarcasm.

"Umm.. hey B you ok?"

"Oh me? I'm peachy... I just can't believe out of everyone in this entire world you are the silver wolf. I thought silver wolves were powerful." Brandon said while laughing.

" I don't know where this behavior is coming from but jealousy doesn't look good on the future alpha of this pack son!" My dad said as he got up from the table and left while shaking his head at Brandon.

"Yea I'm the future alpha and yet my little sister is more well known than I!" Brandon said as he stormed out the kitchen behind my father.

I don't know why Brandon suddenly hates me. He is my oldest brother and usually the most protective over me than any of my siblings. I just don't understand why being a silver wolf affects him.

I head to the resigning grounds to clear my head. James already here throwing people around in the arena no doubt showing off to the girls that are watching the fighters. Joy probably somewhere off with her mate who I met last night. He seems nice but the complete opposite of joy. Joy is a happy person who believes in happily ever after and her mate seems serious and calculated.

"Who got next?" James shouted out as he finished his fight with one of the warriors.

"Me!" I yelled back gaining more attention than I wanted. I made my way on stage as I got into my fighting stance. The fight started immediately as James doesn't like to wait for anything.
