Silver Meets Royalty

Chapter 5- Only The Beginning

Imene P.O.V.

            I ran. I ran from my true mate. I ran from the future king of all wolves Shay just continues to whine loudly in my head pleading me to stop and turn around towards our mate. I ignore her pleads as I let myself run to safety... or anywhere that is not here. goddess knows I wish I was back in my pack lands because not only is the royal pack grounds much larger than Gold Shear's they are well guarded as well.

             I slowly come to a stop when I start to smell multiple wolves blocking me from the boundary line. The sounds of twigs breaking from all directions appear louder as i stand waiting for him. I can feel him as shay whine louder in my head most likely trying to contact his wolf. looking for a exit would be pointless knowing even if i escape i will not get away.

             A dark shadow appear out of the woods revealing a man with starling grey eyes. He is the definition of a god with the muscular build so strong that his veins seem to want to pop out in every step he makes. His hair is slightly long with curls that bounce slightly as he walk I didn't even realize how fast he was walking towards me until he was right in front of me.

             He pulls me in his grasp as he smells my scent. I can literally hear Shay and his wolf purring as tingling sensation rush throughout my entire body. I let his scent wrap around me as it calms my nerves smelling like rain and honey which is really a strange mix yet very comforting.

''What is your name little one?'' My mate ask me as he moved away slightly still holding my hands. His striking grey eyes stare at me like he can see my soul. Saying one simple sentence sends a shiver down my spine that makes it incredibly hard to be panicking right now.

" Imene. Imene Cruz of the Gold Shear Pack.'' I say as I bow slightly moving my gave towards the ground.

"Why run? Do you not like what you see?"

" I never wanted a mate." He looked at me like he is confused.

" Why?"

"I don't like feeling controlled.. I don't want this. I'm sorry but you need to reject me and mate with a high ranking royal wolf because-" I couldn't even finish my sentence before I was pinned down to a tree with a very angry prince staring down on me.

"No! You will not be going anywhere little mate. You are mine rather you like it or not!" I can't help but shake in fear as my arms are turning red as he squeeze my forearm. He slowly let go of me and stepped back a few inches.

" Follow me." He commanded as he turned and started walking back to the arena. I knew it was no escape for me and no use of arguing. I accepted my dreadful fate and walked behind him. We walked in silence until we reached the arena where my dad , James, and Joy were waiting at the entrance door.

              My dad was first to approach us with a determined look on his face. "Prince Phoenix. I am alpha cruz of the Gold Shear Pack. It's very nice to meet you." My dad as he stretched a hand out towards my mate who name I just learned is phoenix. That asshole didn't even introduce himself to me!

Phoenix grasp my dad hand and shakes hm in a firm handshake. " Alpha Cruz the pleasure is all mine sir."

"Before we continue this conversation, I must ask... are you my daughter true goddess given mate or did you claim her for her rank?'' My dad questioned looking between phoenix and I with worry.

"I do not understand why your daughter ran from me but she is my true mate. Rather she likes it or not." My mate said as he stone faced my dad causing my dad smile to drop into a thin line.

"I will go to war before I let you or anyone else force y daughter into anything she doesn't want so if I was you I would go speak to the council members about your punishment for breaking the law."

               My mate just smirked and looked at my dad with a sense of understanding and humor. "Out of respect to my elders and the fact that you are my mate fathers I will let that pass but let's get one thing clear I will not need to force Imene in anything however she will be leaving with me."

               My dad starts to stand guard and was about to speak before a loud door slam happened behind us. King Edward and Queen Erica starts to walk down the stairs clearly looking displeased. "Son! you have embarrassed us as a royal family member let alone the future king! now you decide to continue to disrespect your mate's father?!" King Edward bellowed as his crown started to slip slightly. Queen Erica just smiled at me but I could tell she was not happy with phoenix either.

" I deeply apologize for my son actions. I swear sometimes all the training on equite and manners does nothing for him.'' Queen Erica with a very motherly smile said as she outstretched her hand for my father to take. Phoenix just rolled his eyes and looked as if he had better things to do at this moment.

'' It's fine your highness.'' My father said as he started to bow until King Edward stopped him. " no need for that you are family now.'' King Edward finally revealing a smile I thought I could never see. They finally turn towards me as Queen Erica pull me into a bone crushing hug.

" Goddess just look at you. So beautiful and strong. You'll be a wonderful luna queen. And a silver wolf goddess I have no idea how Phoenix got so lucky. How about we all go back to the arena enjoy the show then have a nice family dinner right here in the palace. You are all welcome to spend the night here as we figure out the next steps."

                 Everyone just nodded their head in agreement when truly I just wanted to hide under a rock until I die of starvation. But I put my big girl pants on and put a smile on my face as I walked back into the arena with the others. We took our seats behind the queen and king on stage so not only was my nerves going haywire because I'm on stage with the royal  family but... everyone was staring at me. Phoenix hasn't said anything since we got in but I have noticed him sneak glances at me. I can feel shay and his wolf talk and I can feel how happy and satisfied shay feel. I wish I could feel the same way but I have a strong feeling that this alpha of mine is a major asshole.

             All I know for a fact is that I will not be leaving without a fight. I bet he used to getting everything he wants when he wants it but with me that will not be the case. He will earn me or lose me... I don't care if he likes it or not .
