Imene P.O.V.

The sound of beeping was causing Shay to roam around in my head. As I set up from the palace infirmary, the stinging sensation on my neck brings all the memories back to me suddenly. The story , the silver wolf, the vampire/witch who is my supposedly half brother. Then Issac biting me in my neck! The anger that coursed to me was making it unbearable to lay down anymore.

The sound of the door opening caused me to look up revealing a very angry, worried Phoenix approaching me.

He grasps my hand and kissed my forehead. I could tell he kept looking at my neck in anger as I watched his eyes shift to my eyes and to my neck.

"I'm sorry..." I said feeling incredibly guilty that I let this happen. I was told never to go anywhere alone yet I did anyway and this was the result .

His face went from anger to confused at a fast rate. "You have nothing to apologize for. I shoukdve went after you and it's my job to protect you and now... I... failed you." Phoenix said now realizing the dread of guilt his feeling.

"Am I ... am I a Tribid?" I asked scared to know the answer.

"You are in transition... to complete it you must drink human blood."

"And if I don't?"

"You'll die." Phoenix said while he clenched his fist together trying to control his wolf.

"I don't want to die! I don't want to be a tribid! I never asked for any of this! I never wanted to be the moon goddess!" I exclaimed out of pure hatred for how terrible my fate as been going.

"Moon goddess?" Phoenix asked making me realize just how much I fucked up. I wasn't ready to tell him the truth hell I'm not ready for everything to go to shit. My life just got good and now I feel like I'm losing everything and everyone. Most importantly I feel like I'm losing myself.

If the story issac told me about is truly about my family lineage then my father lied to me. My mother may be alive or murdered by her own son. The sane son who is out to kill me inspite of him being my half brother. The more I think about it I honestly have nothing else to lose by telling my truth.

I looked back up to look at phoenix who was grinding his teeth waiting on an explanation. So... I told him. Everything. From the moment I got my rank to the moment I met the moon goddess all the way to the story Issac told me about. Waiting for his response was worse than holding it in everything by myself. I kept searching his face looking for an answer or anytype if reaction.

"Baby... are you ok?" I ask after we sat in silence for a creepy amount of time.

"Thank you for telling me the truth. I think I should tell you mines ..." Phoenix finally responded shocking me with how calm he was.

"I have been putting off on marking you because the moon goddess Selene came to me in my dream. She told me you were powerful and needed me by your side. She told me to wait to mark and mate with you after you finally transformation takes place. At the time, I didn't know what she meant by final transformation nor did I even beilve the dream was real.. until now."

"I think Selene was talking about you becoming a tribid as your final transformation. If you are destined to being all species together you must have your be the main three - a witch, lycan, and vampire." Phoenix finished explaining his theory which honestly made more sense than what I thinking.

"I think you mean werewolf." I corrected his mistake of saying lycan.

"No I meant lycan. Since I'm a lycan you will turn into a lycan after we mark and mate. It's the only way you'll be able to breed my pups... it's the natural way of lycan mates." Phoenix explained which only caused my heart beat to pick up again.

"This is... all too much.. I can't I can't do this I'm just a girl." I admit finally letting my tears spill out. I never felt this vulnerable and weak before but the comfort tingles caused my mate rubbing me as I cry bought some comfort.

We sat for awhile before I was told that Issac is in the wind after biting me. Which only confused me more because Issac seemed to care about my wellbeing only to turn around to hurt me. I wanted more information because I had a deep feeling he didn't say everything. More importantly I wanted to confront my dad about the story... about my mom.

Talking about my mom to my dad as always been a sore subject. He told us she died in a rouge attack when I was three but now that I think about it we never saw her body. We had a closed casket and yes my dad grieved but many people used to say he was stronger than most that lost their mates. Maybe he knew all along where she is. The thought of my father lying and keeping my own mother from me caused me to be nauseous.

Phoenix got up saying he would be right back only soon returning with a blood bag that looks like it was freshly donated. The sight of the blood made my teeth start to ache. Suddenly I was starving and reaching for the blood bag that would seal my fate. I could tell Phoenix didn't want me to but he knew neither one of us had a choice.

"You ready baby?" Phoenix asked as he tore the side of bag open handing it to me. I took it with shaky hands trying to control my urge to drink the entire thing realizing with one sip everything will change.

Not be able to contort my self any longer I took a sip of the bag and the moment my tongue tasted it I couldn't stop until the entire bag was empty. That sudden hunger sensation now felt subdued as my teeth started expand out. My gums were screaming as I felt my two canines morphe into two very sharp fangs.

I'm officially an tribid.

The rest of day me and Phoenix hid in our royal quarters. Only getting dinner delivered to our room once we left the infirmy. We basked in eachother scent and snuggled while watching action movies for the rest of the day. It's like phoenix could sense how much I wanted to forget everything and just breathe.

Tomorrow will be a new day with more problems and most likely more tears but atleast I have an amazing mate that fully accepts me for who and what I am... even when I don't fully understand myself anymore.
