Silver Meets Royalty

Chapter 10- Luna Ceremony

Phoenix P.O.V.

         Yesterday went way better than I expected. I wanted to tell her who I am. I wanted her to understand that my mood swings are sometimes out of my control. I wanted to tell the entire werewolf realm who will really be ruling them but as a prince I don't have enough power. My parents agree with the elders using the excuse we could lose everything. Truth is I don't want the title or the power without telling the truth.

          After coming out to my mate and her reaction was.. surprisely comforting. To know she accepted me as me made me hope that everyone else would too. Being kidnapped by lycans made me despise myself. I hate the fact that I am one of those monsters. They hunted me everyday as a game and used me as a dog by forcing me to shift into my werewolf form with a silver collar around my neck. I wasn't allowed to shift into my lycan form but when I got too angry to the point I couldn't control it I would shift into my lycan form only to be beaten down like cattle. I only escaped because the royal army found me alone in one of their cells. Apparently they took over a pack in Canada that ended up being investigated by the elders because no new leader was appointed.

           They only found me by accident. My parents swear they never stopped looking for me and now I believe them however as an angry 15 year old boy I was angry. Angry at myself for being kidnapped. Angry that they took so long to find me. Angry that I would never be able to fully embrace myself because who I am is a .. monster. Some full moons are too powerful on my werewolf side and lycan form so strong that I must be shackled in the dungeon with silver chains and inject wolfbane just so I wouldn't kill myself or others. In Imene presence my lycan side has been calm and tamed.

             This why I didn't want a mate out of fear that I would hurt her. Or that she may not accept me. And yet I got so lucky to get a mate that is openminded, strong, and beautiful. She definitely stubborn, a hot head, and very argumentative but even her smug face she makes when shes aggravated makes me love her even more. It's crazy how I want to change myself for ..her... imene.

           The guards knocked on my bedroom door to let me know that the ceremony will begin shortly. Since im prince by birth im technically already a alpha which is why tonight is imene night. Tonight she will become my luna offically and join the royal pack. I have no doubt in my mind that she willl be perfect for this pack and even more perfect queen.

        I began to make my way downstairs to join the ceremony as I can smell the aroma of delicious meals and the smells of hundreds of wolfs ready for the imene arrival. I started walking down the stairs when a hand grips my arm roughly making me face the culprit thats bold enough to touch me without permission.

Insia. I roll my eyes completly expecting this conversation to happen eventually.

         '' Insia... I need to go the cermony is starting so whatever you need to discuss with me make an appointment.'' I said calmly as started to turn around.

         ''An appointment! Are you serious! So this random bitch shows up and now i'm nothing. I was supposed to be your luna! This was supposed to be my ceremony!'' Insia yelled while starting to cry.

         '' I found my destined mate insia. Like what did you expect me to do... you will find yours soon and when you do you'll be grateful that our original plans was cancelled.'' I started to walk away but first I turned back before fixing my blazer, ''Oh and if you ever disrespect imene again you will regret it.'' I didn't wait for a response as I heard the guard announce my name to let everyone I'm about to enter.

        Shortly after I entered and gave a wave to everyone I went to go sit by my parents and jamie who were on stage. I never been the one to talk to the pack members without reason. It's just easier to give orders versus make friends which is just another way I disappoint my parents. What they don't understand is that this way I can keep my Lycan side at bay with no risk of attacking someone for no reason.

          '' Attention, Atention! please let's welcome princess Imene Cruz.'' The announcer alerted us to look up at the entrance doors. It was like my breath got stuck in my throat when I saw her. She was wearing a silk green dress with silver jewels coming down on both sides. She had a sexy slit on her right thigh revealing her sexy long legs. She walked towards the stage with grace and pride with her head high and a big smile i have come to adore. I look around and see all the pack members looking at her with admiration and approval making grey hum happlily in my head.

        ''You look ravishing.'' I told imene as I reached for her hand to take. My father got up to speak on the microphone as me and imene stand in wait.

        '' How is everyone doing tonight? '' My dad asked with a comedy laugh that caused the pack to laugh too. ''Tonight is all about our newest member of the royal family. I have no doubt that she will measure up to be an incredible luna and queen. Now I know this isn't tradition to do this at the luna ceremony however this feels like a new beginning so with that being said.'' My dad tok a deep breath as he start to looks at me and asked me to stand beside him.

        ''I am officially stepping down as alpha of this pack and want to personally appoint the new alpha of the Royal pack. My son, prince phoenix.'' He sent me a smile as the pack roared with excitement. I had no idea he was stepping down today so this is a major suprise for everyone. Traditions state that at the coronation I become alpha and king at once but I knew for some time now my dad wanted to retire. My dad wants to travel the world with my mom so I guess he didn't want to wait. unfortunately he wont be able to appoint me king because only the elders can apoint someone as king which they will only do at a cornation. Nevertheless, we shared a hug before he continued the ceremony.

        ''Now imene will you please stand beside your mate. please give me your right palm and kneel.''imene follow directions as she looked at me before sending me a wink. This girl exhibits strength and confidence it surprises me just how amazing imene truly is.

        My father sliced her plam open with a dagger thats been in this pack since the beginning of time before he made the same size cut on his own. He mingled his hand into hers as a powerful surge bust out like a while glowly light. You could feel imene aura expanding throughout the pack it was nothing I have ever witnessed before. Myth states the stronger the light represents a powerful leader.

         Imene began to hold her head no doubt hearing muliple pack memebers welcoming her in the pack. The slit in theirs hands healed up very quickly before my father began to speak again and imene rose to her feet. I check to see if she is okay and she send me a reassuring smile.

         You can feel a powerful shift over the entire pack as I watched some members start to hold their heads and bend down. It truly felt like Imene power just transferred throughout the entire pack. It wasn't pain we were feeling yet it was power strengthening each member at once.

         ''Welcome imene you are now offically the luna to the royal pack.'' My father finished as another powerful roar from the pack members erupted in pure happiness. The happiness booming off of imene was evident and it gave me the courage to do what I truly wanted to do the moment I saw her. I pulled her towards me by the waist as i kissed her passionately not caring about the hundred of people watching.
