Obi-wan stood outside the moisture farm with his arms crossed and his hood over his head. The day had been spent with Sol packing her essentials while attempting to explain to Luke and Leia why their mother was barely talking. 

Obi-wan had driven the mother and daughter to the moisture farm where Luke rushed out with a wide smile. But instead of greeting her son with the same grin, Sol let Obi-wan help Leia out of the speeder while she took her time letting her feet drop into the sand. When she eventually looked up, Sol saw the awaiting face of her son who looked too much like his father.

'What's wrong, Mum?'

Sol pressed her lips together and took hold of Luke's shoulders. She guided him back inside with a flimsy excuse for her glum expression. Luke was confused and attempted to see if his twin had some answers, but Leia was none the wiser to the reason for her mother's behaviour.

A ship appeared from the night sky and lowered to the sand of the Tatooine desert. Obi-wan squinted at the rush of wind that exhaled from its engines and the hood flew off his head to reveal his brown hair. He waited for the ring of the engines to die and saw a landing ramp dispatch from its belly.

It was bittersweet to see Ahsoka again. The Jedi Master wanted to grin and embrace the Torgruta that descended the landing ramp, but at the circumstances, it would be inappropriate to do so. Ahsoka's appearance on Tatooine was usually a joyful time of Luke and Leia's joint birthday, and her arms would be overflowing with gifts. But she carried nothing this time, and a poncho sat over her clothes and hid her belt that held her two lightsabers. And just like Obi-wan, the orange-skinned Jedi was absent of smiles.

'How is she?' was the first thing Ahsoka asked. With her bright blue eyes and white markings on her face, Ahsoka was stoic as she looked at the man riddled with worry.

'Spending as much time with them as she can,' he answered glumly. He turned his head to the right and positioned one side of his face to be in the direction of the farm's entrance. The two Force signatures that he and Sol jointly worked at concealing were drawing closer, and at Obi-wan's movement, Ahsoka was alerted to the incoming twins.

'Aunt Soka!'

Lowering into a crouch, Ahsoka spread out her arms and couldn't help but brighten at the sight of the two children. In their white tunics and pants, the twins were getting ready for bed when their mother announced the arrival of their favourite aunty. They wasted no time in wrapping their arms around Ahsoka's shoulders and embracing her outside the farm.

'What are you doing here?' Luke asked with his chin on her shoulder.

'It's not our birthday?' Leia followed and was the first to pull away. Ahsoka looked to the purple-eyed girl and was amazed at how beautiful she already was at her young age. The Jedi felt swirls of warmth in her chest at the sight of Leia's excitement, and it was only added to when Luke pulled away to look at his aunty with his sister.

'Has your mother explained to you about tomorrow?' Ahsoka started, hoping that she wasn't jumping ahead. But when she looked up to Sol, who appeared from the stairs with a blanket around her shoulders, Ahsoka knew that the difficult conversation had already been endured.

'She said that she's going away for a while,' Luke answered. 'Are you and Mummy going together?'

'To another planet?' Leia followed. 

Sol let the edge of her lips hitch up at their innocence. As she stood beside Obi-wan, Sol watched as Ahsoka wore a smile as if it was the easiest thing to do in the galaxy. The woman, who was no longer a teenager, entertained Luke and Leia with her stories of faraway planets, but she didn't mention why she had travelled to so many systems. Most of the instances of her adventures were while escaping the Empire and when helping Padme Amidala with the missions of the rebellion. The twins only heard the stories of Mandalorians and the Ewoks of Aldeeran, and gawked at the many achievements of their Togruta aunty.
