Friday that week soon rolled around, both the weather and everyone's moods improving. Summer was enough to lift people's spirits, which is why it was Kimiko's favorite's season.

Though with the upcoming mission on her mind, she would be lying if she said she was completely at ease. It had been eating at her mind since she heard about it, a anxious feeling in her stomach which told her she was nervous.

She hadn't expected to be, usually she was confident. However, this wasn't like any normal job, it was going to be tougher and most likely much more difficult.

So when she was called into class by her teacher, Masamichi Yaga, her entire mood flipped. It was obvious that they were going to discuss it, or maybe even send them on it there and then. She hadn't really been told much.

On her walk through the school to their classroom, she kept her eyes pealed for her brother, hoping she would run into him before they would have to go in.

Having him by her side always calmed her.

Sweating slightly from the sun, Kimiko took a peek into each open door as she passed them, her nosiness getting the best of her. When she came to Jujutsu High, she had made sure to decorate her room the best she could, so she loved judging others. It was a strong belief of hers that people's bedrooms told you a lot about them.

Her mouth was dry from both the heat and her nerves, but she always carried gum and lollipops with her since Haibara always brought them in and gave them out.

But when she reached into her pocket for her gum, all to find was an empty packet.

Cursing under her breath, she knew immediately that Satoru and Suguru were likely the ones who had stolen it all.

So she instead began to unwrap one of her lollipops, it being slightly sticky from the sun.

The reason she had gone for the gum instead of the lollipop is because she was sure it wouldn't be allowed in the classroom, and she would refuse to throw it out if commanded to.

However the other reason was because she knew she would struggle to unwrap it, her vision was blurry and her hand to eye coordination was awful. She had no sleep the night before, which would explain why she was non stop yawning too.

The entire walk to her classroom she spent attempting to unwrap it, refusing to give up since she was so desperate to cure her dry mouth.

She didn't raise her head once, even at the sound of other voices.

"Please, please, please." Kimiko pleaded in a whisper, now tugging at the wrapping as she got more and more aggressive.

But it was suddenly knocked out of her hand when she slammed straight into someone, knocking her over backwards, the lollypop flying across the floor and out of her sight.

Her anger now taking over her, she shot her head up to glare at whoever she bumped into, even though she knew it was her fault.

Bright blue eyes stared back at her, the familiar laugh of Satoru filling her ears as he stood over her, holding back his laughter as he bent down to hold out his hand, attempting to hide the smirk on his face.

"Great, of course it was you." She mumbled, ignoring his hand and standing up on her own, immediately searching around for her half unwrapped lollypop.

Satoru immediately frowned, holding a hand up with an accusatory tone, "You knocked into me?" He questioned as he watched her scramble around in desperation. "Looking for something?"

Kimiko pressed her lips into a line as she side eyed him, the need to scream and shout at him inside her beginning to grow. He was being no help and she was already in a bad mood, him simply standing there was already getting on her nerves.
