Kimiko stood in the elevator next to her slightly taller and older brother, who was much more calm than her.
Whilst he spoke to Satoru on the phone, she hung her head and fiddled with her thumbs, barely listening to their conversation. She didn't want to be a distraction or nuisance, however her confidence had dropped massively since agreeing to come along with them.
They were stronger than her, so what if she was just in their way?
"The star religious group is an organization of non-sorcerers." Geto explained, glancing at Kimiko out of the corner of his eye. "I don't think we need to pay them any mind."He was good at reading her, to the point where he immediately could tell something was off.
They didn't have the time to talk about just anything though, the mission was too important to risk messing it up.
So instead, Suguru gave her arm a small nudge to catch her attention, a small smile stretching across his lips when she finally raised her head to meet his gaze.
Her expression mirrored his, and his little act of reassurance was enough to soothe her. The thing about being such close siblings, was they could do things for each other that no one else could.
No one could understand Kimiko like Suguru, and no one could cheer her up like him either.
"The ones to be wary of are Q." Suguru continued to explain over the phone, the elevator beginning to move upwards.Kimiko could faintly hear Gojo's voice over the phone, but sadly missed out on most of what he said since Suguru had refused to put him on speaker when she asked.
His reasoning made sense though, he explained that he didn't want anyone that could be waiting outside of the elevator to hear. Then again, he wasn't exactly whispering, so if there was anyone, Kimiko knew they would be able to hear her brother.
So actually it didn't make sense to her, which led to her instead coming up with her own theory - something she did often.
She soon came to the conclusion that Suguru didn't want her talking to Satoru, maybe he didn't want them becoming friendly with each other.
Suguru had always been very protective over his friendship with Satoru, maybe because they were so close.
Kimiko eyed her brother suspiciously as he scrunched up his face as a reaction to something Gojo said.
"What?" She asked, curious, but Suguru just shook his head at her.
"You know, Satoru.." Suguru began as the elevator door dinged, "I've been wanting to say this for a while, but you should stop being so full of yourself."
Kimiko let out a giggle, hearing Gojo's offended noise over the phone, which meant that it must of been loud. He was truly clueless about what Suguru was suggesting, which what was made it even funnier in her mind.
The elevator door finally creaked open, Kimiko rushing out before her brother who rolled his eyes at the back of her head.
"Especially when you're addressing your superiors." He continued to explain as the two of them glanced around for anyone, "We might end up meeting Tengen-sama, after all. You should be more polite and humble. You'd scare your juniors less too."
Kimiko was lost in where they needed to go, so she slowly trailed behind her brother who led the way through the fancy building they were in which was some sort of hotel.
Whatever they were talking about, Kimiko wasn't exactly sure. They had informed her on most of the mission, but she didn't know the small details which they did, and they were both too useless to explain to her.
