Session 1
Winter Eternal by Michelle Jo Quinn @MichelleJoQuinn
After a short stint in a mental health facility, Lulu Savage finds herself moving into the house she grew up in, with her aging mother and ailing father, in a town called Rivergreen. While nursing a broken and beaten spirit, Lulu hopes to form a new life, albeit with an unpromising career as an artist. All is not well, but she trudges on, keeping her head low enough from curious small town gossipers.
Then Charlie appears and sends her into a spiral. He has chosen to be a recluse, yet, he delights in her presence. And she finds herself enjoying his. But will their new found happiness survive when the nightmares of past memories come to the surface?
What happens when she realizes that he knows more of her past than he lets on?

Discussion Questions:
1) Some writers and editors believe that prologues should not exist in stories. Do you think this prologue did its job to entice readers to continue reading? Explain.
2) Can you identify with Lulu's struggle to fit into society?
3) Have you ever witnessed someone have a panic attack in a public place, and if it was someone close to you, what did you do?
4) One of Lulu's major experiences in this book is the change of career, following her passion despite not knowing if she will succeed. Have you ever made this decision? Would you?
5) Did you find any symbolism in this story? Explain.
