Former UAC Deimos Base
7 years after Doom (2016)
A lot has happened since Dr. Hayden has sent the Doom Marine through the tethering system.
Despite Olivia Pierce, the occult leader who set off the invasion of Hell, being killed, her teachings lived on. Slowly, the UAC became more and more corrupt. They opened more gateways, they've done more rituals, and they've even kicked out Dr. Hayden from his own company. Luckily, with the formation of ARC and a defected UAC Weapons Division on Mars' moon, Diemos, The Doctor led the charge to fight against their unholy enemies.
He looses more men by the day to UAC Cultist and the Demons on Earth.
It's only been a few months since, the initial formation of ARC but they've done a decent job at fending off the Mortally Challenged, but they've still got a longs way to go before Earth is truly free.
Suddenly, an intern he had hired walks in.
Intern: Dr. Hayden?
Hayden: Yes?
Intern: The forces are all prepared for Operation Hellbreak. All we need is your word.
Hayden turns. He grabs the crucible, the item this started this all. It's Argent energy flowing through his robotic veins. A familiar voice finds itself in his mind.
???: She will not stop. Urdak needs the Argent and she will bring my people to their end to get it. You know what we must do.
Hayden: Give me more time!
Intern: Doctor?
Hayden: I'm... fine. Let's end this.
He grabs a microphone and begins to speak, he mechanical voice echoing itself across the halls.
Hayden: Attention all ARC Personnel, I know what I am asking you is much, but I assure you, it is necessary. Operation Hellbreak must succeed if we have any hope of reclaiming Earth. I will join you in the Battlefield. May we make it to see this all end.
The scientist hangs up up the call. His lights flicker on and off. The Intern readied himself with one of the newest Plasma Rifle models and left with Dr. Hayden.
Hundreds of soldiers, all equipped with the best technology that ARC could get their hands on stand outside Ground Zero of the Invasion, the Super Gore Nest. Once the gleaming city of Los Angeles, now lays the most dangerous part on the planet, and Samuel Hayden plans to end it today.
5 hours later
It did NOT go well.
Despite everything he put out, Hayden's army failed. It was a slaughter, and the demons were winning. But strangely enough, the demonic forces seemed very light compared to their initial invasions. They were still incredibly strong and still outnumbered them by millions, but there wasn't as many Archvilles, Arachnotrons, or even Barons.
They were moving their forces elsewhere. The robot realized that he would need to retreat, he was too valuable to die.
Midway through the battle, the doctor spoke to the Intern.
Hayden: Call in the slipstream back to ARC, we need to return immediately.
Intern: But our troops-
Hayden: It's too late for them. If they were smart, they would've recognized that this was a losing battle and left hours ago.
As the intern began the request for slipstream, the floor beneath them began to shake. The sound of metallic footsteps hitting the flesh covered concrete ground. The two are approached by a large figure in armor carrying a Crucible Blade.
