Chapter 6- The Dance

I was so excited for the dance! Alex decided to go with Emily to the dance to because she goes to the same school. I invited Austin to come to because I felt bad and still wanted to have fun with my best friends. I thought tonight is going to be awesome.

**** I slipped my ocean blue dress on followed by my sparkly heels. My hair all curled with a bit a shiny clear lipgloss and nails. I was ready and took one more look in the mirror before I heard my mom call me downstairs. "Come on Cal! Austins here already"! She shouted. "Coming"! I yelled back. I ran down stairs to see Austin talking to Jason. "You look so pretty" My mom said in aw. Once she said that, it brought Austins attention to me. "W-wow you look beautiful.... I mean uhh you look nice for a dance" He said trying to cover it up with teasing me. "You don't look to bad yourself" I said back. I suddenly heard knocking at the door. Liam walked in. "Wow you look gorgeous" He said. "Thaaaanks" I blushed. I heard Austin mumble something but ignored it.  Finally, Alex and Emily arrived and we we're ready to go.

When we opened the doors of the stadium, my eyes light up from the brightly colored lights. "Oh my gosh! This is gonna be awesome"! Emily squealed in excitement. "Yeah, except Austin and I have noooo clue who anyone here is" I sighed.  "Why do you say that exactly"? Emily asked. "Because were homeschooled" "Oh" She replied. "Its alright, you guys can make friends" Alex stated. "Yeah I gu-" I was cut off by Liam snatching me over to a group of his friends, leaving Emily, Austin, and Alex behind. Liam's personality seemed to change outta know where. "Yo, whats up bro" He said patting his friends on their back. "Whos this"? One of them said checking me out. "Um.." "This is Callie, my date" Liam said. "Yeah, and who are YOU guys"? I asked back. "These are my friends from the football team" "You made friends and got on the team awfully fast" I mumbled. Two of the guy's dates came up. "Oh my God, who is this" They giggled. "My names Callie" I said in annoyance. "Someones got a temper" One of them said as they nudged eachother. "So are you two dating"? "Yeah, we are" Liam replied. "We are"? I asked. "Well...I thought so" "Right...". Not the way I imagined him asking me out but, good enough since I was lucky to get a guy like him. All he did was stand and talk to his friends. "Liam...lets go dance" I whined tugging his arm. "In a second" He said back. I sighed and walked over to the table. "So much for that" I mumbled. "Hey, you alright"? I looked up to see Austin. "Yeah, i'm fine. Sorry for dragging you here" He chuckled "Its alright, why aren''t you with Liam"? "Seems like hes more intersted in them than he is me right now" "Well come on" He said holding out his hand. "What"? "Lets...erm dance" He said with a bit a blushed rubbing on his cheeks.

There was a slow song on so I thought it would be fun. I grabbed his hand smiling and walked to the dance floor. As my arms went around his neck, and his hands on my waist. I started getting nervous. "Its okay" He laughed. "I guess..." I giggled. I looked to see Liam giving Austin a death glare. I looked back at Austin who was laughing under his breath. "He doesn't like me....does he"?  "...and you don't like him...do you"? I said raising my eye brow. "Eh...hes OKAY" He said as he shrugged his shoulders. "Your such a weirdo" I said rolling my eyes. "Yeah but you are too" "but I mean you love me though, how could you NOT"  "Someones a bit full of themselves" He winked. "Naaaah" "Yeah suuure" "but you do" "I do what"? "Love meee"! I shouted as people looked at me. "Yeaah I GUESS I do" He said with a smirk. "Hey, thats my date" Liam said snatching us a part. "Liam...were just dancing" I said. "Well if your gonna dance, dance with ME not HIM" He replied. "You wouldn't dance with me"!? I said back in confusion. "No, its just because you like him right"? "What"? "I know you like Austin" "Liam please..." I sighed. "Its true isn't it"? "No its not" Austin answered. "Theres a diffrence between just friends and dating" He answered one more. "I'm just a friend" I stated. (See what I did there?? ;D Okay i'll be quiet) "See? She said shes just a friend" (ahahaa i'm sorreh xD) "Come on, i'll dance with you" One of the girls said giving Austin a kiss on his cheek. "Um...okay" He said in shock. "Your too jealous Liam" "No i'm not I ju-" "Its okay....its Ooookay" I smirked. "I know, I was being a jerk but maybe...I can have that dance now"? "Of course" As we dance I looked at Austin as he danced with the girl. My jealousy level rising. I tried to not let Liam notice as I watched. I thought my feelings for Austin would have washed away by now, if I liked Liam but...I guess not. What am I gonna do....
