To her, carrying out her duties to uphold the law in a world where even the most mundane happenings can shake up the integrity of a frail society is most important.
And most stressful.
Never does a day go by where the officer basks in a carefree air. Never can she peacefully idle with a snack and drink in-hand.
Thankfully, when the going gets tough and there is little margin for the liberty of her spirit, she can think of you. It's not as good as seeing you in person, certainly, but she can scrape by with only the thought and image of you in her head.
It's enough to get her heart thumping. If she had a tail, it would be wagging every time she hears your name.
She ducks smoothly into her vehicle and glances at herself in the mirror.
