Rapunzel situates herself beside you on one of the pews among many. Disregarding the ample space you have on this seat, which was clearly made for way more than two people, she scoots in close to you until your shoulders are smashed against each other and her warmth is easily palpable.

"Ah, here we are," she begins, flicking her finger through the somewhat dirty and off-white pages of her journal. "I did tell you, Commander, the next time you visit me on the surface, I'd read to you."

You nod; you did promise you'd come back to this exact church to hear her writings. "Any new stories?"

Rapunzel's face beams brighter than the angelic rosary sparkling at her back. "Yep! A bunch, actually. Hearing that you wanted more stories from me really got my creative juices pumping... oh my, and I'd be lying if I said another juice wasn't pumping right n—"

"What's the first story?" You quickly interject, breaking her focus. You know where that was going, and it wasn't gonna be pretty. Or very clean. Your ears refused to hear the biproducts of her... unkempt desires.

Rapunzel snaps back into action, flipping along in her journal to a page near the middle of the journal. She points to the heading where a bold title stretches across the paper: You, Yourself, and I.

You lean back in the pew, awaiting the sound of her voice to begin reading aloud these stories that you expect to be teetering on the edge of suggestive and outright explicit. No in-betweens.

Rapunzel clears her throat, straightens her posture, and then her face takes on a whole new demeanor. You look over at her as she starts to read. This must be her proud author mode. Oddly enough though, she's got a real small grin on her lips, like she's holding back laughter.

"I only need some critique on the parts where I experimented most. So I'll just be giving you a little excerpt."

You nod and close your eyes. Might as well get immersed in what's soon to be a wave of dirty innuendos, even if you're not really all into that.

Rapunzel begins, her voice firm and clear.

"'At first, I didn't know what to feel or how to act. Deep down, I knew these thoughts that poured in and out of my helpless vessel would only continue to drown me in their filth. It was like a curse'."

So far, you're handling it well. Not too bad. Any other time, her books would be jumping right into the action. Head first.

"'My curse consisted, or rather consists, of this strange sensation that spreads like an ocean wave across my entire body. Oh, how it fills me to the brim with its desirable warmth, how it forces me to succumb to its domination. I am too weak against it, and therefore I am too weak against my own urges.'"

And there it is. Exactly what you were waiting for. The metaphors click instantly in your mind but you say nothing. Rapunzel assumes your silence is approval for her to keep on.

"'Not even prayers lift my curse anymore. And ever since a catalyst was brought into my line of sight, this sensation spreads even deeper. Further across my limbs, my muscles, bones... down from my neck to my chest to my legs, my inner thighs..."

"Okay!" you blurt out as the imagery sticks to the back of your head. Your eyes shoot open and you face her. "That's enough, I think. It's great, super cool, keep it up—"

"Oh, Commander, that wasn't even the best part! Listen to this! 'When I think this ocean's waves cease to exist, when I may finally breathe easy once more, it becomes stronger. When I'm down and unable to guard myself from its feral desires, it becomes stronger! The damp heat spreads into my figure like a subtle, yet spastic blast of...'"

"Oh, goodness, would you look at the time!" You bounce out of the pew, nervously tidying the front of your uniform. Rapunzel watches you make a gesture like you're checking a wristwatch, but she's not stupid; there's nothing there.

"Commander, I'm not done yet! I've still got... ehh, let me see here... about eleven more stories to read to you!"

You can't help but scream it in your mind: hell no. You make a beeline for the way into the aisle leading up to the church doors, leaving behind a salty Rapunzel.

"Can't keep my team waiting! See ya!" you say as you scurry your way out of the church. The doors slam behind you and that's that.

Still seated alone in the pew, Rapunzel slouches against the wooden backing of her seat. She closes her journal and sighs.

"The Commander didn't like your story," Rapunzel says, lifting her chin just enough to meet the piercing yellow eyes of a figure standing along the shadows by the wall.

Snow White comes out with her arms crossed, a smirk upon her lips. "Yeah, I saw. Shame. Didn't even take the time to offer feedback."

Rapunzel shrugs and rubs her finger along the edge of the journal cover. "I thought it was good. You really made it sound like my style."

"Oh yeah? So ten-outta-ten for doing it right and mimicking that painfully unpleasant style?" The white-haired Pilgrim chuckles. Clearly, all of this was no more than a silly joke to her.

Rapunzel cracks a smile, albeit very faint, it's as genuine as when she thinks of the Commander. "Yeah. Ten out of ten."
