"George.."
"Dream, stay back." George murmured, facing downwards
"George, listen..."
"I said, stay back, Dream," George spoke loudly this time.
"How'd you find out?"
"You left a note, George," Dream took a step forward, "You never leave notes. Also, I found your diary."
---
3 hours prior...
George was lying on the couch for the tenth day in a row. He barely got up, he had eaten very little and only showered once. He was watching season 10 of Greys anatomy because it was what Dream was watching when he came over last and he didn't have the energy to change it.
These past days, George wasn't feeling himself. He didn't want to talk to anyone, he didn't want to stream.
He didn't want to live.
The only thing he's been able to do the past couple days is write in his 'diary.'
Also, Dream was his neighbor, and guess who just knocked on the front door. "Come in!" George yelled from the couch. And Dream crept in. "Georgie... Are you ok?" He looked and saw George still on the couch from the last time he was there. "Hey." George said as he quickly hid his diary from Dream's vision. "What um," Dream sat next to George's pale figure, "What have you been doing?" "Laying down and watching Netflix." Dream nodded, and tried to bring the mood up. "So, I'm going for a drive around town, do you want to come?" "No. I'm good." Dream sighed, "Ok. Well, love you George, I'll see you later..." Dream slowly stood up and started walking away, "I guess."
--
1 Hour later...
George was done, he was sick of feeling like this, he ripped a piece of paper out of his diary and wrote on it, "Went for a walk, be back soon!" and stood up, he threw on some shoes and put the note on the table that's by the entrance. He hid his diary loosely under his blanket. He grabbed a water bottle that wasn't see through and poured vodka in the cup and put the top on. He took a plain slug of the drink which burned his throat as he walked out the door.
He knew exactly where he was going.
Dream on the other hand, was just arriving home. He decided to check on George once more before settling down at home. He walked to his door and knocked, "George?" No answer. Maybe he's asleep? Dream questioned, so, he walked in, slowly. He saw the couch empty. He looked around and spotted something to his right, right on the entry table. He read it and ran over to the couch.
Did he leave his phone? Dream thought if he didn't he could track him. He lifts up the blanket and sees... a diary?
He shouldn't read it, but, what if George is hurt?
He picks it up and reads the most recent entry.
"Hey, if anyone finds this, especially Dream, I'm sorry. I'm going to our rooftop right now, the one where we first joked about getting together. Yeah. I wasn't joking by the way. I'm there because i just wanted to see the world as I was leaving it. And, if you can catch this early enough then hurry, because I'm leaving soon and if you feel the same, let me know. Please. So I can leave in peace.
And if someone else catches this, and your one of the people who hurt me, Sorry, can't save me now."
Dream finished reading this and ran to the door and left. He got in his car and headed to the spot where George was.
He started running up the building stairs and finally reached the top.
"Georgie!" He saw George sitting on the edge of the roof with a water bottle?
"What's in the bottle?" He asked walking slowly towards him.
"George..""Dream, stay back." George murmured, facing downwards
"George, listen..."
"I said, stay back, Dream," George spoke loudly this time.
"How'd you find out?"
"You left a note, George," Dream took a step forward, "You never leave notes. Also, I found your diary."
"Well, Dream.." George spoke sluggishly, "if you wanted to know at all how I'm feeling, which I figured is why you came here. I'm not okay, I feel... scattered. I feel like I don't matter."
"George, just, come over here." "No." "Then can I come over there?" George nodded in the dark light beaming from the sky. Dream stood behind George, hands on either side of his body. "You matter, George. Your all that matters."
"No. Don't say that. Don't say I'm all that matters. Just leave me, like you've done before. Like deja vu."
"George, you know I didn't want to leave you." Dream explained, "Your mom made me leave you at your lowest, I know, but you think I was just gonna leave you? I tried to check in on you and you weren't there."
"Whatever." George took another sip of his drink and turned around not realizing how close Dream was, his legs were now at the side of Dream's waist.
"So," George spoke with sadness, "Will you call our friends when I'm gone and tell them I'm sorry?"
"No. Because your not leaving me."
"And why can't I?" George sighed, angrily.
"Because I fucking love you, so much. Since I first met you. I've wanted you, your lips, your eyes, your body, everything and anything you have to offer me. I want you, George. Stay, please stay so we can work this out. I can help you and take care of-"
George put his hand over dreams mouth and wrapped his legs around Dream, pulling him in close, removing his hand and kissed him, tasting the vodka on his lips but pushing it out of his mind. To which Dream kissed back almost immediately, wrapping his hands around George's waist.
They pulled back and smiled, resting theirs noses and foreheads on one another.
"I love you George." "I love you too Dream." George started crying and so did Dream, "George, please don't leave me." George thought for a moment..
"Ok. As long as you move in with me because I can't do this alone"
"Whatever you need darling."
