Mei and Nero were about to continue their journey, they heard a van behind them that was a little bit out of control, but the van manage to stop in front of them by an inch.
Nero: Perfect timing... Now we're starting to act like a team.
Nico: Ew! You, like, flirtin' with me? Knock it off... Get in the car you two.
Nero just shrug while Mei laughs while going inside the van. They also see Lady that still has Mei's coat. After one hour of resting, Nero and Mei start walking towards the entrance the qliphoth tree, some demons spawn in front of them to deal with. As they enter the tree, they look behind as the wall close.
Nero: Well, no point of in turnin' back now...
Mei: don't worry about.
Nero: Not that was ever an option.
Mei: that's the spirit.
Nero: time for some payback.
They continue their journey but met some demons that spawn in front of them, but they deal it with ease and halfway through they were met by an elevator-like contraption that is going up. Mei uses her devil trigger to fly a bit to skip some platform, but Nero has to wait.

Nero: wait for me.
Mei: you can do it.
Nero end up failing since he misses the last platform, but he got rescue by Mei who's in devil trigger.
Mei: hang on a bit.
Nero: thanks!
As they went on their journey, some roots came are blocking the way, but they now have problem dealing with and a root that has sticky blood in the middle (bloodstream).
Mei: is there any way to go up?
Nero: I don't know anything, but we could try that (point his finger at the bloodstream).
Mei: are you sure about this?
Nero: you got any better idea?
Mei: ok fine, you win.
Both of them enter the bloodstream one by one and force them to go up, it also releases them in the same area after their trip inside the root.
Nero: I got blood all over me... I hope I get a shower after this.
Mei: good thing Lady has my coat, and my white t-shirt is now red.
Demons begun to spawn to stop them but is not a problem for them. After walking for a few minutes, they notice a platform that is more like a pit. Mei uses her devil trigger to get pass the platform while letting Nero grab on her feet to carry him. As they walk, they notice that only going down is the only way forward. They in a big circle area but met with an ice spike in front of them but they dodge it. A red seal in front of them was blocking the way.
