As verdun run through the location where he hears gunshot, verdun also see mark and jenson with backup setting up a perimeter.
mark: what's the situation ?
verdun: the cultist accelerate their plan since i just finish a high level demon and dante went after the cultist that's try to run away.
jenson: ok, me and mark will stay at the perimeter to watch over for any low level demon.
verdun: ok and i will go now.
mark: take this radio to radio us when you are done.
verdun take the radio and start running towards to dante. he reach what look like a graveyard and some corpse of the cultist.
dante: you're late since i just finish the job.
verdun: its fine since you manage to stop them.

dante: who are you might be ?
???: my name is abaddon lord of avernus.
dante: you must be hate my old man for sealing the portal.
abaddon: i don't hate sparda or any i'll towards to his kin.
verdun: if that's the case then why are you here ?
abaddon: i was looking for a good fight then a portal went up hoping to find one. i sense victoria and sparda in you young one *looks at verdun*.
verdun: victoria is my mother and sparda is my grandfather.

verdun step aside as the battle begin, abaddon sent some ice wave towards dante hoping for a hit but dante just block or dash out. dante begins firing his pistol or shotgun towards abaddon but it got block by his sword. However like usual dante won and abaddon dying at the floor.

verdun: *walk towards to abaddon* what is it ?
abaddon: * pulls out a orb* this orb has the ability of merging and combination when you combine it on a weapon you desire.
