Evelyn's POV
I stared at the thing in my hands with wonder, fear, and panic. It can't be true, right? Maybe it's false.
But what if it really is? What am I going to do? Should I tell someone or not?
Nadia.
Her name came in my mind the moment I finished my sentence. I should call Nadia. She'll help me with this whole situation.
After a couple of minutes, I found the courage to call her. At the third ring, she picked it up.
''Hey, Eve.'' Nadia said.
''Hi, Nadia.'' I said.
''So how are you?''
''Not as good as I would like to be.''
''Why? What happened?''
''Do you remember what I told you a month ago?''
''Yes. I remember also that you were very upset.''
''Yeah, well, it's that event that caused my current distress.''
''Did he do something? If he did, I swear I'll chop him into pieces.''
''No.''
''Then what?''
''I just saw the results of that day.''
''What results?''
''There is a problem.''
''What problem? Wait. I'm coming to your house. You're there, right?''
''Yes and Nadia?''
''Yeah?''
''Thank you.''
''It's okay. After all, you're my best friend and you have stayed by my side at my difficult times.''
''Ok. I'll be waiting.''
''See you in half an hour.''
''Bye.''
''Bye, Eve.'' she said and hung up.
One thing down too many left. At least I had someone with me. Now the real problem? What am I going to do about him? Do I tell him or do I leave from Boston?
Tell me what you think.
