Cool air breezed into the open, arched windows of the upbeat establishment. Though the industrial furniture gave the breakfast spot a certain darkness, the golden lights shining down from lamps above gave the room a cozy feel. Daniel sat at a table that could normally seat four, awaiting the one woman he was eager to have a conversation with. A quick glance at his watch showed him that the eleventh hour would soon turn to the twelfth, at any minute.

Alexander Wang heels clicked against the pavement and then the tiled flooring of the restaurant as the woman walked into the building. She went up to the host station and told them that she was there to meet someone, and they escorted her through the empty dining area, aside from a couple other patrons. Before she could truly get close to their reserved seating, Daniel could smell the familiar notes of Italian Bergamot and Indian Jasmine, which was reminiscent of a luxury designer store. The clean but decadent scent could only be coming from one woman, and as the thought crossed his mind he could feel sweat beading at his palms at the opportunity to speak to her again.

Rising to his feet, Daniel reached his hands to the sides of his Cartier shades and removed them from his face, allowing his deep-set eyes a clear view of the woman approaching him. He quickly walked around the table to pull out a chair for her, and as she got closer he gazed at her in adoration. Her beautiful skin was as clear as porcelain, and she sauntered through the restaurant like she owned it, her flawless energy causing a spike in Daniel's nerves. His heartbeat pulsed throughout his limbs, his focus set on doing the right thing, being the right thing.

The classy young woman walked up to the handsome bachelor –who was reluctant to hold such a title– and they hugged tightly, engulfing each other in their embrace. Tears stung at Angel's eyes and she pulled away quickly, gaining her composure as she separated herself from Daniel's hold. Daniel took in her appearance once more, and his eyes dilated at the beautiful highlights that filled her silken black hair, along with the casual but chic outfit she sported.

"You look beautiful." He blurted out, to Angel's somber smile.

"Thank you." She replied lowly. Nervous for what her ex had to say, she sat quietly and avoided eye contact, careful to not show her hand. Daniel followed her lead to take his seat and his longing eyes yearned for her to look at him, even if it was just for a second. Though last night, the D'Usse had her fantasizing about feeling his kiss again, the sober morning was one filled with angst. Bumping into someone was a completely different vibe than a sit-down.

The waitress approached their table to hand them some menus, and take their drink orders and then, Angel and Daniel are left with just the silence between them once again.

"Angel, I- I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything." He apologized genuinely, his voice deep with regret. As if it was the first time she had heard those words, Angel's chest swelled with sadness. Tears she thought she was done crying, begged at her tear duct for passage. The young woman grabbed a napkin and soaked up the tears before they left her eyes, to save her mascara from running and her from appearing so freshly heartbroken, even though she was.

For a few moments, she focused on her breath to calm herself, wiping her face and figuring out exactly what she wanted to say. Truthfully, she didn't think she would ever want to, let alone get a closure talk with Daniel. And now that he was in her face, apologizing and wanting to talk, she had to gather herself, and quickly.
