I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Mina standing there.
"Me - What do you need???" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
"I want to see my baby," Mina replied.
I shook my head, still in disbelief.
"That's not happening," I told her firmly.
"And why not???" she demanded.
"Because you put her life in danger. She needs heart surgery," I explained, my frustration and anger rising.
Mina rolled her eyes. "I want my daughter and Jay!!!" she insisted.
"Well, that's not going to happen," I shot back. "You cheated and broke his heart. Then, out of the blue, you left our daughter in a box on our doorstep. And you even left her birth certificate blank. She's mine and Jay's daughter, and you won't even know her name!!!"
Mina glared at me with hatred in her eyes.
"I messed up," she admitted. "But I want my family back."
I was about to respond when Heeseung, Jongseong, Jaeyun, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Riki came home. Jongseong immediately jumped out of the car and came over to us. He wrapped his arm around my waist and looked at Mina with confusion.
Jay - Why are you here?" he asked, his tone cold.
"I want to see my daughter!!!" Mina reiterated.
He shook his head in disbelief. "Hell no. You left her on the doorstep on a cold night!" he exclaimed.
"It was a mistake," Mina pleaded. "I wasn't in my right mind. But I want both you and her. I want us to be a family."
Jay's expression turned to one of anger. "Are you drunk or high???" he asked. "Do you have any idea what you've put me through??? And now you're here trying to mess up my happy family??? I'm not going to let you do that. So leave my wife and our daughter alone."
He then turned to me. "Did you tell her our baby's name???" he asked.
I shook my head. "I told her I wouldn't," I confirmed.
Jay turned back to Mina. "I'm glad my wife didn't tell you our daughter's name. So would you kindly leave before I have to call the police???"
I could see the hate in Mina's face as she walked away. "This isn't over. I'm going to get my family," she threatened before disappearing into the night.
I couldn't help but feel worried about what she might do next...
