Cruel summer was playing in the background with me screaming the bridges and changing into my work clothes.

Lilliath was growling , practically warning me that she would kick me out if I don't stop right now.

No she won't do that , she loves me too much to do that.

Today I woke up in the right side of the bed. I was waiting for this day in my whole carrier . Today was the day I was going to present the whole analytics of our department in front of our CEO .

I became the chief's assistant only three months ago . So this was my first time. And I was beyond excited.

I settled on wearing a french style white blouse and grey dress pants . With my hair in loose curls and completing the look with black stilettos. After satisfied with the look , I decided to drive to the office in my black ford car because today was the day.

After reaching the company , I decided to go the meeting room and was joined by May . Jagger was not here because he was running late.

" May , What if I mess up the presentation and Mr.Black fires me ? What if I get an anxiety attack in the middle of presentation and what if ..."

" First of all honey , You are one of the most badass person I have ever met in my life. You always inspires me with your confidence. " I felt some kind of relief by hearing her reassuring words . "Please , Don't ever call our boss Mr Black, I heard Timothee was fired due to that"

oh. I knew Timothee was fired for no reason because he himself told me. I also mentioned about that in the letter and called my boss a turd. I really hope he doesn't find my letter and read any of those shits.

Timothee was also one of the ugliest flirter I have ever seen in my life.

May went to her office as I went to the top floor where the meeting room was and joined with CFO, sitting behind him .

After ten minutes later, Mr. Black joined us with all his glory . He was wearing a two piece black suit which fitted to him as a second skin. He was gorgeous with his dark hair in neatly styled . He nodded to us and commenced the meeting.

The analytics went so well . I kind of stumbled at first , but when I got the flow of it , everything became so flawless. I felt like I was floating with words .

After the presentation Lawrence , our CFO turned around and said " You did well Lyra ".This was enough I was currently on cloud nine.

After a rough two hours of meeting, it was time for everyone to get back to work. I was so thirsty at this point and I really needed something to drink . When I turned around there was a box full of mineral water bottles in the corner of the office .

As a person who had seen water in desert due to mirage I approached the box . And took a bottle and opened the lid . When I turned with the tilted bottle in my hand , I was strongly knocked into a hard body .

The bottle slipped from my spilling the water all over the black clothed body .

Strongly tilting my head I looked at the the owner of the hard body.

Well tadaa it was none other than the Roman adonis Black , the ceo of the Sword industries also known as my boss. SHIT

The first thing that came out of my mind was "oh ,Shit" Yep that's right.

"Sorry Mr.Black .Shit again sorry Sir, I didn't mean to do that. " I stumbled over the words not being able to find the right word. I was turning into puddle of mud right at the moment.

" I know you meant to do that. Girls like you do everything for attention ". Oh he didn't say that.

"Excuse me, I didn't do anything wrong , the water bottle slipped from my hand because you knocked into me . Don't you dare judge me or anyone " That's it I am going to lose this job.

He glared at me with blue electric eyes which was clearly showing frustration and said with his deep voice " Anyway get out from here and expect a firing letter by the end of the day".

By saying he walked out the room and I followed him after a few minute.

On the way back to my office , so many people talked to me either sympathetically or cheering me for calling him out or like how I deserved it for being a bitch . After all the fucking talks , I finally managed to get into my office.

Many of you might be thinking why is the girl not crying . The one thing I learnt is that being emotional doesn't bring out any good but make you weak. None of the assholes in the world deserves my tears.

I needed this job because it paid me nice and give me money that made me afford the New York lifestyle.

So I decided to put my bitch face and to achieve the mission of the Year , that is 'how to keep this job'.

"So your life went down in one second " May said after hearing how I lost my job .

"I think all of this happened because you missed my beautiful face in the morning " Jagger said jabbing my wounds and I flicked him off.

" What did Lawrence tell about the situation. " Lillaith asked me sipping her wine .

" He said there's no way we can approach him directly. So we shall find a way a which is very indirect "

" So what's your next move " Jagger asked me with his attention solely at the mean girls playing on the screen.

" I don't know " I said stating the fact and there was silence for a minute indicating all of them were deep in thought.

" I think you can reach him through Caden " May looked at me. Caden was our COO. Well he was more amicable and friendly than Roman.

"But how ?" that was actually a question . None of the lower employees could reach the higher officials . But we could either send a email or a letter .

That's when all of us looked at each other like we have got a perfect idea.
