Taylor swift have been singing away into my ears as though she have been watching me from the corner because my life for the past week has been one of the best. After the attack, Roman has been up on my tail like a good fake fiancé.

He didn't want me to leave his penthouse so I settled in one of the guestrooms until Lennox was caught. But the decision was settled on after an interesting fight.

"No, I am going to my apartment after two days "I declared.

"Nope, that's not upto you at this point "he denied.

"What? Because this decision doesn't concern you "

"It does because you are my fiancée"

"Fake, Roman." I corrected him.

"So what? Until and unless the ring is on your finger, you are mine "he stated holding me closer towards his body.

"I am not yours "I was raging.

He tsked and he said "Deny all you want sweetheart, but you should know that living together option was not much far as the engaged couples live together "

"No they do not "I replied as I pushed his huge body away from my body and ran upstairs.

The next day when I woke up, my phone buzzed and clicked on the message button. Jagger has texted me saying "Check this out "

Shaking my head, I accepted the fact that I was moving in with Roman Black.

We went on with our life in a new harmony. We reached the office together in his car and left the office together.

The only problem I could think right now is that; he is growing on me.

"Mam, one of the reports which was to be submitted on tomorrow has been postponed to next week "one of my coworker informed me.

"What, I didn't see it ", I checked my phone, saw CEO's email and I sighed.

I have been whining to Roman about the reports and he comforted me quoting 'you can do it '. That's what I did , I worked on the report day and night , not even wasting any time on leisure's and three fourth of the work was completed.

But now it was postponed. Not fair.

"Why was it postponed? Who postponed it? " I asked.

"The order was directly from CEO, mam"

Why would Roman delay the submission?

Was it because of me?

Did my whining have made him think of me otherwise?

Did he even believe in me?

I wanted to see him, like right now and demand answers directly from him. I know it was unprofessional but this time my heart took over my mind.

Irrational Lyra was on command.

So I left my office and went to Roman's.

Reaching there, I knocked on his door deciding to be a little professional.

"Enter ", He said in his deep voice. I entered his office and noticed the seat in front of him was occupied by a man. Roman eyed me suspiciously "Why are you here, Lyra ".

The man in front of Roman turned in his seat to face me and his face hit with a realization. The man stood from his seat and walked towards me "Hi Lyra, I am Lance" and took my hands in his and kissed on my knuckles.

My blush came involuntary. Lance was handsome with dark blond hair, sharp jaw and high cheeks. He was dressed in crisp white that hugged all his right places.

Abruptly Roman stood in front of me taking my knuckles into his hands.

"Lance, this is Lyra my fiancée and stop hitting on future wife" Roman said as he rubbed on my hands to fade the kiss. He was clearly jealous.

"I know about her Rome but it is nice to meet you in person Lyra. You guys were a sensation last month and I clearly couldn't believe it. No offence Rome, I don't think you have a romantic bone in your body "I giggled at his words.

"How do you guys know each other "I asked joining their conversation?

"We met each other in college and don't tell Caden; I am his best friend ", Lance claimed.

I shaked my head at his words and started laughing hysterically.

"Excuse us for one minute, Lance" Roman said as he dragged me outside the room.

"Oh, sure "Lance replied as he winked at me.

When we reached outside, Roman left my hand and stood closer to me mouthing "You never laugh with me. Am I that bad?" he asked. I was not expecting those words from him.

"If you are asking me are you a bad joker, yeah you are "I said cheekily.

"Not that ,do you enjoy my company as much as I do ? Do you feel like you are being shackled with me ?"

"What..."but he didn't let me continue.

"I know this arrangement is forced upon you . If this feels like hell we can broke this anytime because there is no need to burden yourself with all my problems ".

Not wanting him to continue his ramblings I placed my hand on top of his mouth and said "Ok Bossman enough, now listen to me .First of all did you just confess that you enjoy my company. And second of all if any of this was an inconvenience I would have told you. I actually enjoy and feel safe when I am with you ", I murmured the last part.

He sighed and pulled me closer to him .With no more space left between us I entwined my hands around his neck. "You don't know what you do to me sweetheart ".Then he ducked his head , kissed me on my earlobe nibbling slightly , mumbling sweetly "My heaven".
