"I'm sorry I'm lost, Doctor, explain." Sally said back to him in confusion, The Doctor then took off his overcoat and placed it down on the war table before saying "these portal are cracks in the fabric of the universe, this of it like a cut with the other universe bleeding into our world but what happened if you bleed for too long." Larry just said "you bleed out." The Doctor snapped his finger together and pointed at Larry before saying "bingo, soon all there will be too many portals and they're all going to converge into one and it will take this planet into darkness." Robert just said back to that "so that's it, this is how we're going to lose the war, not by the Germans but by a force that I never thought could be real." The Doctor quickly looked at him and said "no Robert, don't lose faith because that's how your going to win this war, with faith, this is just a tine dump in the road, you will come though this, trust me." Robert just looked at him for a second once he said that before he said "don't know why but, I actually believe you when you say that." "I just have one of those face, I'm pretty lucky with that." Robert quickly said back to that "how are we going to stop them, nothing works on them." The Doctor just looked at him and said "that Robert is a very good question but I have a question for you, why haven't you called for reinforcements?" Robert quickly said back to him "that was the first thing I tired where people started disappearing but our radios are out." "That's probably has something to do with the portal opening up." The Doctor said back.
Sally then said with concern "so how are we going to stop them before they destroy the whole world?" "Back to that question, the million dollar question." The Doctor said back Larry then said "please tell me you have something." He just said back with no confidence "yes I definitely have an idea." Larry quickly said "what is it." "Ermmm Larry he lying, he has no idea what to do." Sally said back to him, The Doctor quickly said as he took offence "hay, I'm working on something, just not quite sure what yet." And as he said that all of a sudden there was the sound of footsteps coming towards them, this made Larry and Sally jump out of there skin and shoot across to the other side of the room while The Doctor quickly reach into his over coat pocket and pulled his sonic out and quickly scanned the door and when he looked at his sonic he said as he looked back at everyone "there coming, we need to movie." Sally just said "where can we go though, nowhere is safe." He just said back to that "anywhere better than here." As he said that all of a sudden Sally, Larry and Robert saw the red eyes of The Shadow Demons and Larry just said "ermmm Doctor." He then pointed at the eyes and The Doctor just turned around and tensed his face before saying "ahhh right run right now!" As he said that Larry, Sally and Robert all went running out of the armoury and back into the trenches while The Doctor kept eye contact with The Shadow Demons as he slowly walked out into the trench.
As He was looking at The Shadow Demons they started changing into The Doctors fear and he started to see himself die again but this time he just smiled and said "can't fool me twice." And he then quickly turned around sprinted off after that other and as he did The Shadow Demons screamed "ARAHHHHHHH!" And they then started chasing after them all. As he was running through the trench he suddenly went rushing past Sally and they both quickly stopped and The Doctor said in shock "what are you doing I told you to run?" Sally said back "I was coming to find you, I'm not just going to leave you." As she said that they both heard another scream "ARAHHHHHH!" They both looked down the trench once they heard that and as they both looked back at each other and both their eyes were bulging out of their heads and The Doctor just said "Sally there here." Sally just tensed her face before saying "what do we do." "Sonic pulse but I need them to be close enough to us for it to work but, remember these thing use our fears to get us so don't let them what ever you here or see." Sally just looked at The Doctor once he said that. As he did they enter the same part of the trench as Sally and The Doctor and they both didn't move there move a muscle they both just keep looking at each other but all of a suddenly Sally started hearing her Dads voice in the background "why did you leave me Sally, you left me for a man you hardly know." As soon as she heard his voice The Doctor quickly said "Sally it's not really just block it out, that's not your real Dad it them." She just looked back at him as her face filled with fear as she said "how much closer?" "Not much, you can't do this Sally, I believe in you." He said back with great confidence. " I died Sally, just after you left, I died in the hospital alone, your Mother couldn't even watch, she left me just like you." Sally just tensed her face as she tried to not let what she was hearing affected, she just carried on looking into The Doctor's eyes to help keep her calm. "Just a little closer." The Doctor said as they started to get close enough to them and once they were he pressed down on his sonic and sent out a sonic pulse that sent The Shadow Demon flying, he then shouted to Sally "RUN!" They both then sprinted off to catch up with the others.
When The Doctor and Sally caught up to Larry and Robert they had reach a dead end of the trench, Larry just said as saw The Doctor "ermmm there's no where to go." The Doctor said to him "that's not true Larry there's always a way out." Larry just gave him a blank look before saying "would you like to tell us how exactly we're going to get out of here before we all get killed." Sally then quickly said "we go up." The Doctor just looked at her, smiled and said "bingo, we go up." Robert quickly said back "are you crazy, if we go up there the Germans will shot us dead before we move an inch." Before anyone could say anything back there was another scream from The Shadow Demons "ARAHHHHHHHH!" Everyone then looked behind them once they heard that, Larry then said back quickly "I don't think we're going to have to worry about that." "Of course we have to worry about that because if these Shadow Demons are here then they must of have got the Germans as well." "Oh Larry I'm liking you more and more, I'm glade I'm not the only one who figured that out." The Doctor said back in excitement, Robert just said back not convinced at all "I don't know about that, you're just giving me a theory and that's not worth risking my life for it." Sally then walked up to him and said "look we really need you to trust us here because if The Doctors says those Demons have taken the Germans, he right so please trust us because we need to get out of here right or we're all going to die in probably a worse way than what the Germans would do us all." Robert just looked at her before he then looked at The Doctor and Larry before he just nodded his head at her, The Doctor then just tapped his on the shoulder and said "right we all need to move, like right no!" After that he put his sonic in his trousers pocket and started climbing up the trench wall.
