Alaric makes his way into class and sits down at his usual desk at the very front of the class - where he finds his usual desk mate and one of his bestest friends, Valerian Archambeau. Alaric was surprised that this time, his friend wasn't skipping school as per the daily or being forced to babysit his younger brother, as some punishment from his parents for cutting classes.

Alaric takes a seat and widely grinned at Valerian. "I'm surprised to find you here. What happened to you saying you're practically allergic to this place, hmm?"

"Oh shut up! We both know I was forced to come here, or either look after Usurper - which is, like, yikes now way." Valerian clarifies, referring to his younger brother. Both boys chatter like rest of the class; mostly taunting and poking fun at their classmates for a bit before the professor showed up.

Alaric pulls out his Crystal Ball and carefully places it on his table when their professor - Professor Dankworth - walked in. The rest of the class does the same.

"Settle down now you lot," the Professor orders the class when walking straight over to their desk at the very front of the room, "today I'll be handing back your test papers from last week before continuing on with the lesson."

Few of the students were dreading to get their papers and seeing their unsatisfactory marks; some excited in expecting a fairly decent and/or good grades; and others feeling very confident they were able to pass with extraordinary results.

Professor Dankworth grabs the neat stack of test papers and goes all over the room to hand back the tests to the students. "Man, my dad is going to be disappointed..." Said one tall and heft witch with brown hair, brown eyes and notably wearing glasses.

"Oh dear, looks like I'm missing a few of your papers." Prof Dankworth thought aloud. "I'll be right back in a moment, stay put and don't make noise." Dankworth adds before promptly rushing out the class with a loud bang from the door.

The class is dead quiet for a moment before all the Oracle students immediately began to chatter.

"Would you look at that Valerian, I managed to get an one hundred percent on my paper," Alaric bragged to his friend, projecting his voice to make sure every one of his classmates hear him, "what about you my friend?"

"Eh, I managed to get seventy-five percent," Valerian nonchalantly responds when propping his feet up on the wooden desk and leaning back in his chair, "my folks are gonna kill me."

"I would too - you're practically lowering yourself at the level of these bunch of weaklings, you're way better than this." Alaric remarks with a complacent grin. Few of his classmates give him questioning or galled looks, knowing that he was referring to almost everyone else in the room.

"You're being too generous Rickie, they're all far lesser than weaklings - more worthless than the dirt beneath my shoe even. Don't lump me with a bunch of nobodies!" Valerian wickedly chortled.

"You guys aren't above all of us. We are all equal and we all did our best; we should be happy with that. We shouldn't be belittling others in the process" Said a student, the majority of the class wordlessly agreeing with her. She was biped demon who was known as Moon Girl - her actual name being, Selene Stellae.

"No one asked for your opinion, you came in dead last in the class for this test after all." Alaric dismissively addresses his classmate; not even turning around to face her.

"That's not nice at all! I tried my best y'know, Mr I'm-better-than-everyone!" Selene shot back.

"Well if you insist I'm better than you - I appreciate the compliment - but already know it's true," Alaric said to Selene when bothering to turn around to look at her, "also, why don't you spend all that energy on actually getting better, because believe me, you'll really need it."
Alaric gives Selene a smug smile.
