Loris pov:
"I'm not going without you" I tell her after a brief moment of silence after our drinking session.
She had just explained her plan to me and it involved her leaving the rest of us to find a woman named Nina.
Inej slowly looks up at me
"What do you mean?" She laughs dryly
"You know what I mean" I say, looking back down at my glass
"I can't. I'm still property of... her."
"You can't say here" I say and that's when she looks me in the eyes as if searching for a reason
"Why do you suddenly want me to come so much?" She questions

"I.. I guess I don't know how Kaz will be when it's just us and Jesper" I say "You keep Kaz sane I feel"
She smiles for a mere second before it's gone, but I see it.
"I wouldn't go that far" she scoffs
"Whether you want to admit it or not, my Brother likes having you around. You calm him, you are the calm to his storm"
She looks down at her own glass and takes a shot of the last bit inside.
"You have Jesper" she says
"What do you mean? Jesper doesn't calm him as much as you do" I say
"But he can calm you" she says
I'm quite at that.
"Before you got here, Jesper was content. He liked the way things were before." She says as I give her a weird look "But I think Kaz and I know that he likes you. I mean the way he's been so worried about where you are and what you're doing so often it's weird to see him worry about anyone else but himself. Now don't think that I'm saying he's selfish... he's anything other, but what I am trying to say is that I feel you think that Kaz and I have some weird connection to each other that doesn't exist. But you and Jesper.... It's pretty obvious"
I have my mouth slightly open as she finishes her words.
"I'm saying, I can't say I will go with you, but you don't need me there you have Jesper"
Without another word she leaves and I'm left to my thoughts.

I don't know how 'normal people' talk to their siblings. Do they say things like 'hey bro' or 'no problem sis'? That sounds weird to me. Just imagining Kaz and I talking like that to each other makes me cringe. But I suppose we can never be classed as normal. If we were normal we wouldn't be having the conversation we are having right now.
"No!" I say as I pick at my finger.
"I wouldn't ask if I found it unnecessary" Kaz says back.
I sigh as I unravel my crossed legs place both my feet onto the floor, elbows on my knees.
"Look. I get that you wouldn't particularly care if something bad happened to me, but I do. Selfish as it is, I don't really want to die. This-" I gesture between the two of us "as cute an idea as it is- will get me killed!!" I say, sitting back
"I'm not asking you to go and kill Rollins I'm asking you to be our demolition man- ugh woman" he says looking at me through the mirror as I note how he takes off his gloves to wash his hands.
"Why do you need one anyway" I say
"Jespers been on my back about it for months and I'm sick of it." He says while concentrating on what he's doing "he says we need someone that knows how to do things that the rest of us can't" he finishes
"And?"
"And you can definitely do things that non of us can't" He says moving his fingers in a way to imitate magic as he walks over to his office sink.
I sigh "fine, you can call me your 'demo man', but I need something from you in return" I say, standing and crossing my arms
"What?" He bites the bait
"I need you to get Inej to come with us" I say
It's silent as we both just hear the sound of the water splashing.
"That's going to cost a lot" he says
"And you will do it because I'm your-" I start but I stop myself "because you love Inej" I decide on instead
"Where on earth did you get that idea?!" He says
"No point in denying it." I say "just don't leave her behind" I say, getting up and leaving the room.

Stepping outside of the Crow Club after talking to Kaz, I hear a strange noise.
Gun shots.
Moving swiftly, I follow the noise until I come to a building.
Looking around me I don't see anyone watching so I slip in.
The room is empty. From the looks of it, this floor looks to have been the main floor of some sort of-
"Club"
Jumping slightly, I turn around quickly.
"Yes!" Jesper says "was I as good as Inej?" He says not giving me a second to think
"Ugh, not yet" I say
"Damn it!" He groans until he shrugs
"Jesper what are you doing here?" I ask after a minute
"Oh" he says "follow me"
I shake my head wondering what I'm getting myself into as I follow him around the corner.
Suddenly, some homemade targets come into view at the other end of the room.
They look like they are made out of slabs of wood and have been messily painted to look like a giant face.
"Walla" he says smiling proudly
"Impressive" I say, being genuine
"It's what I use for shooting practice" he explains pulling out his gun.
Without warning he shoots at least ten shots, perfectly hitting the target in the middle of the forehead.
"Do you want a go?" He asks as we both continue looking at the target across the room.
"I don't have my gun with me-"
"Don't worry, you can use mine" he says, holding out the gun.
My heart skips a beat.
"You mean I can use your precious gun Mr-I-don't-trust-anyone-but-myself-with-my-precious-guns?"
"Well yes"
Jesper trusts me.
