Stefan walked into the grill seeing Damon sitting at the bar alone, drinking a bottle of bourbon to himself.

"So Stefan, I've been thinking. We should start over, give this brother thing another chance we use to do it oh so we'll once upon a time." I said trying to imitate him like we did earlier today. I even tried to do that eye thing he does.

Damon caught on. "I don't Damon. I can't trust you to be a nice guy, you kill everybody and your so mean...and your so mean." Damon rolled his eyes giving up. "Your really hard to imitate and then I have to go to that lesser place." He took a sip from his cup.

"So what's with the bottle?"

"I'm on edge crash diving. I'm trying to keep a low profile." Damon shrugged his shoulders looking over at me.

"You could always just leave, find a new town to turn into your own personal gas and sip."

"I'll manage." Damon noticed I wasn't going to leave him alone. "You know you don't need to keep an eye on me." Damon poured himself another glass.

"I'm not here to keep an eye on you."

"So why are you here?"

"Why not?" I said grabbing the bottle from his grip and walked off. Damon followed after me. "Let's play." I said grabbing the darts off the board. Damon didn't oppose and I began the game throwing them, hitting the red circle.

"Lucky shot." Damon said walking over to the board.

"More like a carefully honed skill over many decades."

"Your gonna beat me." He wrote down the score and walked back over to me.

"We'll yeah it's because I'm better than you."

"I'm into your reverse psychology, I mean it's a little transparent, but I admire the effort." He called me out.

"You prefer the brooding forehead?" I asked pointing at myself giving him a small smile, but he didn't budge.

"Seriously what game do you think you're playing?" He grew serious.

"That's a funny question considering the fact that I have been asking you that for months." Damon rolled his eyes at me clearly growing frustrated. "It's frustrating isn't it."

"Touché." Damon said throwing the darts next.

After playing a few rounds of darts I decided to take Damon to the football field. "What are we doing here?" Damon asked carrying his bottle of bourbon still. I smiled running backwards, tightly gripping onto a football.

"Bonding, catch."  I said throwing the ball. Damon caught it with his free hand, and stopped. "Come on give it a try." Damon sat the bottle down.

"Don't forget who taught you how to play this game." Damon said with no amusement in his voice. He threw the ball as far as he could. I vamp sped trying to catch the ball, but Damon caught it before I could so I tackled him. "Ow that hurts." Damon groaned out in pain.

"Downside of my diet. Getting hit actually hurts." I laughed at him, I was shocked that he was actually taking the diet seriously, but it confused me. Why? He never cared before? Maybe he was sorry for killing Lexi.

"I'm impressed Stefan, fun with booze and darts sentimental with football and now starry night." The moment was quickly over when Damon sat up abruptly looking down at me. "What do you want Stefan?"

"It wasn't real Damon. Our love for Katherine." Damon looked up at the sky laughing. "It took me years to fully understand what she did to us."

"Oh no Stefan we're not taking that on tonight." He said patting my shoulder as he got up. Before he could make it too far I had to ask.

"What do you want with Katherine's crystal?" Damon stopped in his tracks, slowly turning around to face me.

"How do you know about that?" He asked. I got up and walked towards him.

"Come on you harassed Bonnie, Bonnie tells Nyx and Nyx tells me." I told him simply. He looked intrigued.

"How did you know it was Katherine's? Emily gave it to her on her last night. I was with her and you weren't." Damon said smirking.

"I was the last one to see her Damon." His face fell. I could tell he wasn't expecting that. Katherine never cared for Damon only me. Unfortunately he never saw that. "Now what do you want with Katherine's crystal?"

"She didn't tell you?"

"We had other things on our mind." Damon's face grew angry. He vamp sped over to me.

"I could rip your heart out and not think twice about it." He threaten me.

"Yeah I heard that before."

Damon shook his head at me. "It's okay, I could give a damn about the crystal now if I'm being completely honest. Would like it, but wouldn't be mad if I never get it back." Damon begin walking away again.

"What where you gonna do with it?"

"We'll it was to bring Katherine back." I stood there in shock. There's no way! She died in that church.

"How can you bring Katherine back?"

"Before Katherine and the others were killed in the church do you remember what it was like in this town?" Damon asked as we started walking out of the field.

"I remember the fear and the hysteria."

"Town's people were killing vampires one by one when they came for Katherine, I went straight to Emily. Said I'll do anything name your price just protect her, so she did." Damon explained.

"How?"

"She did some kind of spell with the crystal and while the church was burning we thought that Katherine was burning in it, She wasn't."

"But I saw her go inside."

"There's a tomb underneath the church. The spell sealed Katherine in that tomb protecting her."

"Are you telling me that Katherine is alive?" My eyes grew wide at the realization that my ex could possibly be alive still.

"We'll if that's what you wanna call it. She's been trapped in a mystical holding cell for the last century and a half, but your an expert on starving a vampire so how do you think she's doing stef?" Damon walked closer to me. "Did you know that witches can use celestial events to draw energy into their magic...me either. But in order to give the crystal its power Emily used a comet that was passing overhead and in order for that crystal to work again."

"The comet had to return." I finished his sentence and he nodded.

"Downside long time in between comets and a couple of hiccups along the way with the crystal, but the comet passed, and I got the crystal and then Caroline got the crystal. Now Bonnie has the crystal and here we are."

"Why would Emily do this for you?" I asked.

"Because she knew they were going to come for her too and she made me promise that her lineage would survive." Damon explained.

"I remember you saved her children."

"Yeah it's the only thing keeping me from ripping that little Bonnie girl's throat out to get my crystal back...oh well. Wanna go throw some more?" My phone started to ring. I pulled it out of my back pocket to see Nyx was calling me. I answered it.

"Stefan." Nyx's voice sounded worried.

"What's wrong?"

"It's Bonnie I think Emily is possessing her. She said I won't let him have it. It must be destroyed. And then she just left."

"Okay where do you think she went?"

"Fels church by the old cemetery that's where she took Bonnie in her dreams. You have to help her Stefan." She told me.

"Okay just stay there I'll go find her." I hung up the call to look back at Damon, but he was gone. Damn it!
