Nyx strolled up the steps to the boarding house. Ringing the doorbell as she waited for an answer. She looked around the yard growing impatient. She looked back at the door to find it slightly cracked. Worry washed over her as she pushed it open, peaking her head in. Taking in the beautifully large home, but there was no sign of anyone. Something was off, I mean the front door was open, and the lights are on...so she pushed the door further, taking a small step inside.
"Stefan?" Nyx's voice echoed through the home. "Stefan?" She called out again. That sweet voice of hers could make me do anything. If only she was calling out to me instead of my brother. I stayed hidden, and out of view, but how agonizing it was to just sit here, watching her...wheres the fun in that? Smirking to myself I quickly sped over to the door.
The door creaked loudly behind me, turning around there was no one. My heartbeat picked up, as I started to slowly walk back towards the door. Honestly at this point I wanted to get out of here. This big empty house was starting to spook me. Reaching for the doorknob a black crow flew in, causing me to stumble back into the house.
Caw, caw, caw
Looking back to see where the damn crow went, but there was only a tall, handsome man staring back at me with the bluest eyes ever. His black hair was styled messy which suit his face. My eyes traveling down, I could see his muscles through his shirt because of how tight it was on him. He didn't speak, standing inches from me. I stumbled back a little giving me space to breath as I tried to not get lost in those beautiful eyes. How does someone this perfect exist? He cocked his head to the side, giving me a small smile. I needed to say something. Anything!
"I'm...im sorry for barging in the door was open." Nyx stammers as she looked back at the door, and froze in her spot noticing the door was in fact closed. Smirking at her, I knew she was scared. I could hear her heart racing through her chest...her pulse in her neck was thumping so loudly it was getting hard to concentrate.
"You must be Nyx?" I announced. She looked stunned that I knew he already. "I'm Damon...Stefan's brother."
"He didn't tell me he had a brother." Her voice was soft, very alluring.
"We'll Stefan's not one to brag. Please come." I took her small hand into mine and guided her into the living room. "I'm sure Stefan will be along any second now." I smirked knowing my brother will hate the idea of me getting acquainted with his...we'll definitely not girlfriend, but someone of interest. She looked at the room in awe. Our hands parted as we reached the parlor.
"You have a beautiful home." She smiled up at me, and continued to look around.
"Yeah most of it is original. The parlor being my favorite." I gestured to the big room we were in.
"Is that what they used to call it back in the day?" She hummed in amusement. I laughed at her.
"Yeah...I see why my brother is so smitten." I stared down at her, those eyes. I've seen darkness flutter through them, but right now they held curiosity. "It's about time...for awhile there I thought he'd never get over the last one. It nearly destroyed him."
