The story is not mine and nor was it written by me. It belong to NightingaleWitch7 on ao3. I just wanted to share the story they wrote

Uzi glared at her reflection as Prin worked on styling her hair.

On a normal day, Uzi wouldn’t bother to put any effort to look nice as she detested dressing up and thought it a waste to spend so much time on something that wasn’t even going to last a whole day. She preferred simple dresses that were easy to get in and out of quickly, but Prin had insisted she wore something nice. Nothing too complex or elegant, but something that showed her status as a nobleman’s daughter, much to her displeasure.

“Remind me why I’m doing this again.”

“Because a lady of noble birth should look presentable and dignified.”

“Why? We’re only going to the town square. It’s not like I was invited to some noble party.” Uzi huffed. “Not that I’ve ever been invited to one.”

“And why do you think that is, my lady?”

“Bite me!” Uzi growled, crossing her arms, and glared at Prin’s reflection. “I was six and the party was boring! All they did was stand around and talk, they were just asking for something to happen!”

“And because of that, all the nobles exclude you from their parties.” Prin said, finishing up Uzi’s hair. “And none will attend any party your father throws at the mansion.”

“I don’t see much of a problem with that.” Uzi said, fiddling with a single strand of her hair. “Just keeps my personal life private, and less stuffy around here without those noble hicks going on and on with boring topics.”

“And your father with less people to talk to.” Prin sighed as Uzi scoffed.

“At least he gets invited.” Standing up from her seat, Uzi walked over to the full-body mirror, looking at herself. The dress she wore was a deep purple, simple, slim, yet elegant. At least she didn’t need to wear the freaking camisole with this dress. She looked herself over, twisting this way and that.

With her hair done up, she looked like an elegant lady who belonged in the noble community. She immediately didn’t like this look.

“Now don’t you look wonderful?” Prin said, coming up beside Uzi. “You look like a fine young noblewoman in that dress.”

“I hate it.”

“Lady Uzi.”

“Look, the dress isn’t that bad, Prin. But do I really need to dress like this?” Uzi motioned to herself, frowning at her reflection. “I look like a walking doll in this. And we’re not even going to a noble’s place!”

“Well, it wouldn’t hurt to look nice now and again,” Prin said, making last-minute adjustments to the dress. “Besides, think of it as a chance for young suitable men to see you like this.”

Uzi threw back her head and let out a long groan. “Prin. We’ve been over this a million times! I’m. Not. Interested. In marrying anyone!”

“So you say now. But when you get to marriageable age, I doubt your father would let you remain single for the rest of your life.”

“Bite me.” Uzi crossed her arms over her chest. “Like I would allow him to sell me off to be some snob bumpkins plaything.”

Prin gave her an odd look, shaking her head with a sigh. “As much as I wish your father was more… present in your life, I highly doubt he would sell you off without your consent.”

“Like he would care how I feel.” Uzi narrowed her eyes, feeling a burning displeasure deep inside her chest at the thought of Khan giving her away to anyone who even had the slightest interest in her.
