Isaac's POV

"She's safe." Immanuel asks once I slam the door behind me, heading to the bar to get a fucking drink.

"Yeah." I hiss, throwing back a generous portion of whiskey, immediately pouring myself another one.

"Bodies are gone by the way." My brother informs me, only getting a grunt from myself. God, I was so mad. Those damn eyes, filled with fucking tears again. The way she looked at me, they way she wanted me to let her go, how she couldn't even fight me anymore because I fucking drained her off all her energy. "She's pretty." El attempts, earning a death glare. "Whoa, I didn't mean it like that. Just saying that she's pretty, man." He holds up his hands.

"Well keep those thoughts to yourself if you don't want me to kill you." I bark.

"Calm damn." He mumbles, pouring me my third glass of the night. "Does she know about you now?" He asks me, but I don't answer. "I'll take that as a yes." He mumbles again. "You would have told her anyway, better now than later, right." Lightening up the mood wasn't working here.

"No." I correct.

"What's she doing now anyways?" He lounges on one of the sofas, getting way too comfortable for my liking.

"She's staying on the yacht for the time being." I state with authority. Yes, this was good. I needed time. Time away from her, time to clear my head, time for her to come clear with who I am. I wasn't ashamed of what I was doing, I was proud of my family and what we have achieved. She will too.

"Locking her up on the boat." He nods his head. "Great idea." He spits out sarcastically.

"Shut it." He had to leave me alone, before his mouth got him killed.

"You know, I fucked this girl once, she was really into this whole tied up prison thing. Maybe she is too." He chuckles, but I stayed quiet, not amused by him. "Oh man, come on, can't you joke about it at least." He sighs disappointed. "Alright, so tell me what happened when you left the party?" He asks and when I look at him, I can tell he seriously wants to know.

This was my brother. If I die before I have a son, he will take over. He is my second in command. His business is my business, as mine is his. And even if my business evolves around a woman right now, he will care as much as I do, since that is what brothers do in this world. We care for what the other cares for.

Immanuel knew about my plan, about what I did, who Allisson is. Everything I know, he knows. Well, not everything. Some parts about her, like how she is curled up in bed at night, those are things I keep to myself.

"I'm going for a run." I announce. I wasn't in any state of mind to talk to my brother now.

Changing into running clothes, I head out. After an hour of running by the coast, my eyes never straying from the lights of my yacht on the water, I think back to the talk we had, before I sent her to bed.

"T-the mafia?" She asks, a hair falling from behind her ear and I can't ever seem to fight the urge to grab those lose strands, brushing them back behind her ear. "But you said you're running the f-family business?" Her stutter wasn't the only thing reminding me how scared she was. Her voice was also shaking.

"My family is the mafia, baby." I can't help and smirk. God, she must be so naïve.

"Oh God." She steps back, but I immediately stop her, pulling her right back to where she was. "So, so what does this mean? W-hat do you do to afford a-all th-this?" She was once again close to tears.
