As Shanghai fell, the control on East China started to declinate. The southern and eastern provinces lost a lot of control and stability. An economic crisis was harshly hitting China. Beijing and Xi'an were the only cities that could continue producing the neccesary things for the population. And Xi'an wouldn't last too long.
Chinese army was weakened, as 30% of chinese weapons, vehicles, artillery and airplanes were produced on Shanghai. And now the rebels had access to a lot more weapons. Li Peng started to stress with the situation. He convocated a reunion between the CCP members, and they concluded that the best option to win would be attack aggresively the cities occupied by the rebels. In the Shanghai dock, the rebels had access to navy forces. The Tiananmen Naval Force was created on October 3rd, 1989.
In the chinese bastion of Qingdao, the Chinese Navy was send to attack Shanghai's shores. Intelligence spies from rebels, saw the very recent and suspicious activity on Qingdao's dock, so they warned Shizhar to attack Qingdao, and prepare the navy and the army for a possible attack.
A part of the army invaded Qingdao city, and the dock was captured. The warships couldn't do anything but surrender. They gave up to the rebel forces, and the Tiananmen Naval Force expanded to the double.
In Beijing, Li Peng changed the name of Tiananmen Square, renaming it to Xiaoping Square. Li ordered the recapture of Qingdao. He was also furious as the invasion of Shanghai couldn't be possible.
Shizhar and Fang made a plan to invade Xi'an and unstabilize more Chinese Government. The plan was to send bombard jets to weaken the city and army. After that, enter with the land army and capture the city hall. Wu'er didn't approved the plan, but the rest did. Shizhar talked with Wu'er asking him why is he so mad. He tells Shizhar that the war must stop, and don't hurt more innocent people, but Shizhar convinced him with the next words:
"If innocents die, God will recognize them. If evil dies, the Devil will drag them to the very deep part of Hell".
Wu'er, after hearing this words, approves the plan, and on October 24th, the invasion of Xi'an started.
Arter 14 days of fighting, the rebels took the control of Xi'an, making Chinese ecomony more unstable. All of China now relies on Beijing.
After some days, Shizhar received a telegram from an unknown sender. He decodified it.
It said that some people from the other side of China would help them rebelling against the government. He wrote another telegram and it said that he and the Tiananmen Rebels would like to have more people on their side.
