CLAY'S POV:
-
3 years later...
-

I look at the mirror to fasten the tie around my neck, but my fingers are so shaky that I can barely grab it.

I let out a frustrated sigh, closing my eyes. I walk over to the sofa, sit down, and run my hands through my hair, my entire body shaking with emotion.

I'm in a church room, preparing for the most important moment of my life. In just thirty minutes, I'll be marrying the love of my life.

A small smile graces my lips as I think about Georgie and Nick walking down the aisle together, the two most important people in my life. Of course, I can't forget Karl either.

My heart skips a beat at the unexpected knock on the door. I rise from the small sofa and make my way to the entrance, my hand trembling as I unlock the door.

Tears occupy Nick's eyes as he walks in, swiftly closing the door behind him. He hugs me tightly, his emotions overcoming him. "I can't believe you're getting married, asshole," he says, sniffling and laughing through his sobs.

"I can't believe both of us will be married by tonight," I reply with teary eyes, pulling back from the hug to look at Nick.

"I was just with George and he's very nervous." He says, sending a fresh wave of nervousness within me.

It's stupid how nervous this makes us, but we both can't wait for it to happen. I nod as the reality sinks in.

I'm getting married and Georgie is gonna be my husband.

A smile spreads across my face, and the anxiety begins to fade away. Suddenly, Nick bursts into laughter, and I raise an eyebrow, looking at him curiously.

"What?" I ask, my tone tinged with offense as I wonder why he's laughing at me.

"Come here," he says, pulling me close. With a gentle touch, he adjusts the tie around my neck and expertly ties it correctly.

As Nick finishes tying the tie, I turn to thank him, but our moment is interrupted by another knock at the door.

"Clay?" George's voice comes in a hushed whisper, and I can hear the nervousness in his tone.

Panic fills my eyes as I glance at Nick, but he subtly puts a finger to his lips, signaling me to keep his presence a secret from George.

"What is it, Georgie?" I ask in a hushed tone as I move closer to the door, trying to figure out the situation.

"I want to see you," George whispers, causing my heart to swell with emotion. I steal a glance at Nick, but he shakes his head.

He's been telling me how magical it was for him to witness Karl walking down the aisle in his wedding dress for the first time.

I think that it would be more special if we would be alone, though.

"Baby, Nick is here," I whisper and George is quiet for some time.

"Well, tell him to get out, because I want to see my fiancé," George says a bit louder, and I look at Nick, chuckling, as he rolls his eyes.

"Get out, Nicholas," I say, and he sighs, rolling his eyes once more as he heads to the door and leaves.

Although the door is left open, George hides behind it. He won't be wearing a dress, and I've already seen him in a suit before, so I'm not sure why he's feeling so shy.
