A few hours later Jamie called Ellie.
-Hey, Jamie, what's up?
-Do you know what's happening with Lottie? I think she's hiding something from me.
-I know just about the nightmares.
-No, there's something else. I can feel it.
-Well, for now she's having fun at the sleepover.
-Oh, she changed her mind?
-No, I just dragged her here.
He chuckles.
-Bet you did.
-You can ask her tommorow.
-Ok. Have fun!
Lottie was laughing at a joke that Saskia made when Ellie sat next to her.
-Hey, who were you talking to?
-Jamie. He wanted to check on us.
When Lottie heard her boyfriend's name her face changed.
-Are you ok, pumpkin?
-Umm, yeah, I'm fine.
-If you say so...
Now Ellie was sure that her friend was hiding something.
The rest of the night went well with movies, games, snacks and girl talk.
Next day, after the English class, Lottie returned to her room only to find that Ellie was at the fencing class and she had the whole room only for her.
Soon after she started to do her homework, she recived a FaceTime from Jamie.
-Hey, babe!
-Hi, princess. What are you doing?
-English homework.
-Well, I'm going to wait until you finish because I wanna talk to you about something.
She sighs and closed her notebook.
-Listen, if this is about the other night, I'm sorry. I was going to tell you after I figured out what to do.
-You can tell me, baby, you know that I'm here for you.
-Yes, I know but this is not something up to you.
She looked away from him and said:
-Leviathan messed up my grades...
-What? How?
-Umm, they made me lose the year...
-Ugh, those...
Jamie stopped himself before losing control.
-I may have a solution but I don't know if you're gonna like it.
-Right now, I would do anything just to know you out of this.
-There is a summer school where I can go to fix my grades, but it's in Japan...
-Japan?
-Mhm...
-We are going to need the king's aproval for this...
-What? No! You and Ellie are not coming. I'm the one who lost the year.
-Baby, you're not going alone! Me and Ellie are coming with you and I'm not giving you a choice!
She sighs.
-Yeah, ok...
