Ellie was still out with their friends but Lottie didn't feel like going with them so she just stayed in her bed watching movies. Jamie texted her:

-Hey, baby, what are you doing?

-Nothing interesting, babe. Just watching movies. You?

-I trained until now. I'm going to talk with your new bodyguard for the daily report.

-Oh, ok...

-Ellie is with you?

-No, she is with Anastacia and Saskia in their room for a sleepover.

-Why didn't you go with her?

-I wasn't exactly in the mood...

-Baby, are you hiding something from me?

-No...

-Princess, I know you.

When she didn't reply he said:

-I'll call you later and we'll talk about this.

Lottie knew that she was in big trouble. Unfortunately, she couldn't hide anything from him because he was a partisan and could easily detect a lie. She also knew that Jamie loves her and just wants her to be happy. And now Lottie asked herself: Should she tell the truth to Jamie?

In the meantime, Ellie decided that she will bring Lottie to the sleepover even if she wanted to come or not. When she reached their bedroom, she saw Lottie cuddling Ms. Truffles and watching a movie. Lottie was surprised to see her because she was supposed to be in Anastacia's room.

-Ellie? What are you doing here?

-I'm here to take you to the sleepover. You can't stay alone in here when we're having fun!

Lottie opened her mouth to protest but Ellie said:

-And, before you say something I'll not take "No" as an answer!

Lottie playfully rolled her eyes before giving Ellie her cutest smile.

-Oh, you're so cute!

Lottie laughed and put her phone in her pants back pocket. Last thing she did was to take Ms. Truffles in her arms.

In Maradova, Jamie was satisfied about the girls' behaviour. Lottie was good as always and of course, she was the first in her class at Royal History. He knew that this was his girlfriend's favourite class. He didn't knew much things about her childhood, though. Whenever someone was asking Lottie something about her parents she was just excusing herself and left. He tried to do some research but failed. Everyone he asked told him that they were a quiet family, never making problems. The only thing that everyone knew was that Lottie's mom died when she was 7 years old and her father is in another country, possibly another continent but Lottie didn't care about him because they weren't on good terms. After her mother died and her father left, Lottie ended up moving into her bestfriend's house Ollie. That's all they knew about Lottie's childhood. He didn't want to force her because he knew that one day, when she's gonna be ready, she'll tell him.

Ellie was a completely different story. She always hated the fact that she was a princess and from a very young age she had been a rebel. Her parents tried everything to calm her down and take her role seriously but failed. In childhood, he and Ellie were just like Lottie and Ollie. Bestfriends. But when they grew up enough to be responsible, their connection was broken. She always fighted with him about the fact that he was her partisan. She thought that he was losing his childhood to take care of her. She always reminded him that she could protect herself very well (which was no doubt because Ellie could fight like a boy). But, when Lottie appeared in their lives, everything changed. He and Lottie fell in love with each other and formed a couple. After 2 years at Rosewood, after that night at Tompkins mannison Jamie returned to Maradova and ended up having a long distance relationship with Lottie. Now they facetime every day and he knew that she was just played happy in front of him and their friends, inside being all sad and broken. But he also knew that his leaving was the last straw for her. He remembered their last night toghether.

*Flashback 9 months ago:

Today was like a nightmare for all of them. Fortunatley, they escaped from Ingrid and Julius, no one being harmed. Everyone was in a bad state but worst of all was Lottie. She couldn't stop herself from crying and Jamie carried her bridal style to the car and gently put her in the passenger seat while Ellie sat in the back. He got in the driver's seat and held Lottie's hand in his while trying to calm her down.

-Baby, it's done now, they are gone.

-I'm scared...

-Pumpkin, I know you are but can you please try to calm down?

After 10 minutes she finally managed to calm down and stopped crying. When they stop at the gas station, Ellie went to the bathroom and Jamie stayed with Lottie knowing that she will be afraid to stay alone after what happened.

-Are you hungry, baby?

She shook her head no. He quickly texted Ellie to buy him a sandwich. Ellie returned with two sandwiches and giving one to Jamie, she sat in the back. Jamie took a few bites before tapping Lottie's shoulder.

-Take a bite, baby.

She shook her head no and turned her head, facing the window. He sighs and said:

-Look, baby, I know you said you're not hungry but you didn't eat anything in the past few hours and I don't want you to get sick.

Ellie put a hand on her shoulder.

-You love us, right, pumpkin?

Lottie looked at her and nodded.

-Then can you take a few bites for us, please?

-Mhm...

Lottie takes three bites of the sandwich. Ellie gently patted her head and Jamie started driving again. Lottie was quiet all the way back to Rosewood, letting Jamie hold her hand.

When they arrived at Rosewood, Jamie asked Ellie if she could stay in Anastacia's room for the night, since Lottie didn't want to let go of him. She said it's ok and he took Lottie to her room.

-Lottie, baby, you have to change.

She didn't said anything and he realised that she was sleeping.

He took his phone out of his pocket and called his mentor, the King's partisan to tell him what happened and that he would come to Maradova the next day. He couldn't belive that he was letting Lottie alone after what happened but he had to do that to protect them.

He quietly laid in bed next to her and she put her head on his chest. He carresed her head wondering how he would tell her that he is leaving.

The next morning Lottie woke up with Jamie looking on his phone at a plane ticket to Maradova.

-Babe? What are you doing?

He looked at her with a sad smile and kissed her.

-Baby, I have to tell you something...

She opened her mouth to say something but then all became clear.

-You're leaving...

-Lottie...

-No, it's ok. I get it.

Jamie was amased by how understanding Lottie could be. She wasn't acusing him because he was leaving. She was just sad.

He hugged her tight, his head in the croak of her neck.

-I'm so sorry, baby. I wish there was another way...

-I'm gonna miss you.

Now she was crying.

-I'm gonna miss you too, baby.

He kissed her forehead, his head now resting on top of her head.

-Please don't cry, princess...

She took a deep breath and wiped her tears.

-Don't you have to pack?

-No, I already did since I wanted to stay with you.

She kissed him.

-I promise I'll call you every day, baby.

After 1 hour of cuddling and kissing it was time for Jamie to leave.

He kissed her one more time and left.

*End of flashback.
